Hi. My family will be sailing on the Disney Fantasy. This will be our first 7 day sailing and also our first time on this specific ship. We mainly sail 4 day ones and we've been on all of the others (Dream,Wonder,Magic). I remember reading some things that are specific and unique to either 7 night sailings or the Fantasy ship specifically but I can't remember where. So, my question is, what things, activities, etc are unique about the 7 day fantasy sailings? What should we not miss?

We've sailed many times so I'm not looking for the "common" answers/tips.
I'm more interested in things like : High tea still offered?? Character breakfasts ever offered?? Unique/special areas on the fantasy?? Do they have new shows and new food menus each night of the cruise??
Any ship specific advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA. :)

The Fantasy does offer a character breakfast. You pick up tickets (check the Navigator you get at check in for time/location for pickup). One note - it's Disney Jr characters, not the regular Disney characters.

Oh, there is a Royal Court Tea (pretty pricey, IMO) on the Fantasy.

Do they still do a High Tea? I missed the opportunity a few sailings ago and now I'm kicking myself!

I don't believe any of the ships offer "high tea" anymore. There is brunch available at Palo and Remy, depending on ship and itinerary (only on sea days).

Enjoy your cruise!

If you mean the Palo tea, that was discontinued about 2-3 years ago. It allowed more reservations to be available for brunch (my favorite).

You are right that it is gone now. Too bad, we REALLY enjoyed it. I can only guess why it is gone, but when we did it it was sparsely attended. It could be they wanted to expand brunch reservations, or they simply tried the tea and it wasn't as successful as they wanted. We don't really know, but I do miss it.

Call Pepe's cabin, 5148 1/2. Dial 41-5148 once aboard.

Must check out all the restrooms.

Specifically you should say check out the single person restrooms in the bar area on 4Aft. The regular restrooms aren't that noteworthy. Those special ones though are incredible!

The midship detective agency has a Muppets mystery that's only on the Fantasy I believe.

We haven't been on the others yet to compare (will do Magic and Wonder next year), but the Fantasy is a beautiful ship!

While the restrooms in the adult/lounge area are spectacular, I found all of the public restrooms very nice.

Muppet Mystery joined the Dream during her drydock.

Thanks everyone! Keep 'em comin'!!
These are all great tips and exactly what I was looking for!! :flower3:

Talent show is fun for the kids. Not a competition but they do get a certificate and lots of cheering from everyone.

From the room service menu, we like the All Hands On Deck cheese, cracker and fruit tray. Nice to keep in the room for a quick snack while getting dressed. Not really ship specific, but worth mentioning.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!! I've enjoyed reading the tips received so far!!! :flower1:

We sailed on the Fantasy last year and I don't remember seeing this. We sail again on the Fantasy the week of Feb. 6th and I've been poking around and don't see a way to book this in advance. My 5 year old would love to see Disney Jr characters. Is this something they still offer and if so do we have to book it once we get on board?

The character breakfast cannot be booked in advance. You need to get on board early and pick up tickets. We just got off the 10/31 Fantasy sailing and the ticket pickup location for all ticketed events was the Port Adventures desk.

Happy to answer any other questions about the Fantasy as we are fresh off the boat.

Quick question before I head to work: have you sailed other Disney ships?
If so, is there anything that stands out in your mind that was noticeably different about your Fantasy trip? For instance; character opportunities, food selections, activities offered, shows, etc that you wish you had known about prior to cruising?
Or things exclusive to a 7 day sailing? (Besides the character breakfast that was mentioned earlier).
We've only done 4 day cruises. So excited for this one! :yay:

I've been on Dream, Fantasy (twice) and Wonder and the Fantasy just feels more relaxed and fun, but maybe just because I feel that way. After 4 cruises she is by far my favorite ship. Enjoy your cruise.

The character breakfast is a fairly recent addition to the Fantasy (maybe about 5-6 months). You can't book it in advance, as noted. You pick up tickets once you are onboard the ship. Check the Navigator you get at check in for location/times of ticket distribution.
