Due to an unplanned change in the scheduled dry dock for Fantasy, DCL is cancelling certain cruises this fall and revising the Transatlantic.

They are offering 20% off a future cruise, applicable to Concierge cabins and can be combined with a placeholder.

So far cruises between 10/20 - 11/12 have been cancelled.

Disney just cancelled my cruise so the Fantasy can go into Dry Dock in October. Email said an alternative WBTA will be announced so I hope I can get in on that. It was my PlaceHolder cruise. Suspect I can’t combine the 10% with the %20 I was offered. Also, I hope I still retain my PlaceHolder? Out of the country. Will check when I get home.

We are writing with important information about your Disney Fantasy sailing on 10/20/25.

Our Disney Cruise Line ships undergo a dry dock every few years for needed maintenance and refurbishment. Due to an unplanned change in the scheduled dry dock dates for the Disney Fantasy, your sailing is no longer available. As a result, your reservation will be cancelled, and any funds applied to your reservation will be refunded back to the original form of payment.

We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may cause and welcome the opportunity to assist you in rescheduling your sailing around the same timeframe. A revised 13-night Westbound Transatlantic cruise will be available to book beginning on February 6, 2025. Alternative sailings to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as sailings from Southampton, England, are currently available. In addition to the refund, we are offering each Guest on your sailing a 20% future cruise discount on their voyage fare*. ”

20% doesn’t seem enough for those who already booked airfare and planned on these trips later this year. But changes in scheduling do happen unfortunately.
While it helps for whatever cruise we may book in the future, we'll also be losing out on our 10% placeholder which was set to expire a week after we set sail, and I don't know if we'll want to rebook the WBTA since it won't be what we were originally planning. Maybe save the WBTA for another time and use the 20% on more expensive itineraries.

I believe I've seen reports that other future cruise credits that were issued due to cancelled cruises were stackable with a placeholder...but I would definitely contact them about retaining the placeholder.

What a bummer. We have friends taking that sailing. I'm going to send them a message to check
their email. I wonder what the revised 13 night will be? I see the 20 % off is good until Feb 2027

We're on this and the B2B Bahamas cruise right after, which was also cancelled. Super depressing to wake up to those emails!

We also had a placeholder that expires Oct 22 and I don't know if we'll be able to use it.

Now I get to cancel all the flights I booked just last week... yay...

According to the FB group, someone spoke to customer service who said that when bookings for the WBTA open up on Feb 6, it will be for everyone -- no priority for those who had already booked, no priority for CC status, which is disappointing.

Guess a lot of the UK people that had kids with school holidays won't be able to go anymore... I do suspect them to add a CC and/or LHP to the itinerary and may be just have two stops on european side... Europe in November mweh and the reports I've seen of November crossings on other lines weren't all that great wave and weather wise...

I wasn’t overly fond of the Port Stops so I’d be happy with a revision that might include Lisbon or one of the Disney islands. ❤️

New placeholders are being issued with an expiration date 2 years from today for bookings made with a placeholder!

I agree with this, I think Disney should be helping people with airfare if non refundable if they can prove they already booked it. Or with change fees.

On Disney Cruise blog the following Fantasy cruises have been cancelled so far
  1. 10/20/2025 13-Night Westbound Transatlantic Cruise from Southampton ending in Port Canaveral
  2. 11/2/2025 5-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral
  3. 11/7/2025 5-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral
  4. 11/12/2025 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral

You will be able to stack discounts in this instance. The 20% is technically a future cruise credit, not a discount, which is why it's stackable (and can be used for concierge!). Your current placeholder will be cancelled, but you can purchase new ones (with new expiration dates).

Stacking the Placeholder with the Discount would be awesome! Extending the placeholder is a bit less of an issue for me BUT a nice gesture on DCL’s part.

There were quite a few cabins left the last time I looked - except for inside ones. Unless the new WB covers Disneyland Paris, Lisbon, Cinque Terre and St. Thomas - I doubt it will sell out on Feb 6.

Was the Fantasy scheduled for a later Dry Dock? Or not scheduled at all?

The Fantasy was scheduled for a dry dock.

It seems perhaps the shipyard had to shift some things around, so the drydock dates changed (that's my speculation, nothing official).

I merged your thread into this one as they are both about the same topic.
