Hello folks-

I have a friend who has never been to WDW (yes, its hard to believe, but its true) and wants to take her family (DH, 2 DDs 9,7 and 1DS 4). I told her about the Fantasy Package. My family are DVC members so we haven't spent a lot of time looking into the deal. I've tried the search, but its not working.

What would you recommend for them? (i.e. two connecting standard rooms or a 1 bedroom villa, jr. suite, conceirge, etc)

Since this is their first trip I want to be sure to make it "magical" a realistic price.

Thanks in advance.

With 5 people over 3, they could get either a room at a deluxe, they all sleep 5, or two connecting rooms at a moderate or value resort. If they want to stay at a DVC resort, they'd need a 2 bedroom, since a 1 bedroom only sleeps 4. The Fairytale package is pay 4 nights get 3 nights free. You can price it out on www.disneyworld.com to get an idea of rates for your friend. Just click on the yellow savings box on the left.

The world and WD world are not made for families of five!

I know, because I am blessed with three children, also. It's harder to rent cars and get tables, too!

This is a question that really depends on the adults, not the kids. The kids will have a great time at a value resort and a great time at a deluxe. For the adults, its a question of room and privacy vs the deluxe services ('tho I've been reading bad things about those, lately:( ) and ambiance.

My children are 11, 9 and 3. So far we all stay in one room, as I have a "we're on a family vacation so we're going to be a FAMILY" modus. So if you see a family at the GF this July who looks like they want to kill each other because of just--too-much--together-time, that'll probably be us!;)

Heart.....You crack me up! There's nothing like that 'just-too-much-time-together' feeling!

I have four kids and dh and i took the kids last June and had connecting rooms, we put the kids in one room and us in the other.this was at port orleans, I don't think they would care about putting the kids in the other room, we kept our connecting door open until bedtime,. My kids were 15,10,8,4 then. . I wish disney would make rooms more inexpensive for larger families.
