Fantasy - March 26, 2016 Sailing

Feeling helpless now....everything I am able to plan at this point has been done......airfare, magical express, resort stay before/after, port transfers, dinner ressies while in WDW, noting DD's b-day on ressie, even requested dining rotation! Even just the other day booked air for DD friend who is now coming with us, added her to cruise ressie and all other ressies, etc.......Now to wait until check-in/excursions in late Dec.!

kddlm I feel the same way lol I have a couple of pieces I haven't done yet like onboard gratuities, transfer to the airport but want to wait until it gets a little closer. I too am going to WDW before the cruise though

Great idea for the door magnets! Forgot too that I even have already reserved parking at the airport for our flight I do still want to order a Sweet 16 tiara for DD.

I got a really nice Tiara at Downtown Disney for about $20 so if you can't find what you want online you can check there.

I have to reserve port parking for my mom yet as well.

I have a ton of things I want to do for my sisters 40th birthday which we are celebrating on this cruise. So I have been working on that stuff and my FE gifts as well plus I revise my packing list a thousand times

Thanks! I'm sure they'll love it. DS did. Downside for me was barely seeing him. It was a "consolation" cruise for him after DW and I did the EBTA without him due to school. The agreement was breakfast/dinner was father/son time and I didn't see much of him otherwise. This was on the Dream. He loved it. Particularly making the movie. No idea what extra they do for a 7 night but for a 4 night, he was fully occupied. If they have any questions I can try to ask him. But I can't count on his memory as he seems to be blurring it with past trips.

I'm mildly freaking out because I'm so late booking this and have not much time to really particularly getting into planning it like the EBTA and WPBC we did. I think we'll wing this one more than before. We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge the 2 nights before but we're not planning on parks. Perhaps DTD and/or waterparks. I'm disappointed that WL is undergoing renovations - but many of them seem to be.

Anyone have insight into the shows that are expected to be playing for this cruise? Perhaps I'll be ready for them again by March, but I could use a new show.

Just found this...we are first time cruisers and we are sailing with you all!!! Any tips please share...kids will be 6 and 8 when we sail. We will also be celebrating our 10 year anniversary.

Just got an email from DCL and I could not figure it out why. I assumed reminder and then something in the back of my head said maybe your main dining request came through and it had!!! YAY!!! I would totally use the bouncy emoticon here but work blocks those. But YAY!!!!

It was a move from Second Seating to Main Seating. I do not believe they let you know your requested rotation until you checkin and see it on your KTTW. I have never requested a rotation but am thinking of doing so particularly now that we got Main Seating. One of the people traveling with us has a medical condition that requires him to eat early so if we didn't get moved I wasn't sure what we would do. I did not have him submit a Medical Form. We figured we would wing it.

We are second seating. I just realized that is what you meant by your request coming through....I requested a rotation that did not have us at AP 3x. We had that one last time and honestly, that was our least favorite dining room.

Just for fun is there any way to tell how booked this cruise is? I expected a lot more chatter on this thread so I'm wondering - also the fish extender group is very quiet. Maybe everyone is busy with the upcoming holidays.

If you try to book another room the options are limited so I am guessing it is pretty full. It also took several months for my Main Seating waiting to come through and that is usually some indication of the fullness.

I think the meets boards are suffering due to other outlets for communicating. I believe there was a post not too long ago on the main boards

It's pretty full. Very few rooms left in most of the categories I just checked. I think there were only a handful cat 9s. Doesn't seem to be any 8s left.

We're also waiting for a move from late dining to main dining so fingers crossed we were not far behind you in the wait list.

Opinion question for anyone that's done the small and large boats. I've spent 30 nights on the small boats and 4 on the Dream. I really found the Dream's dining rooms, where my table was, to be significantly more crowded than the small ships. Having to get people to move their chairs to be able to go to the restroom, waitstaff tripping over themselves. Any thoughts/opinions of whether it was just a bad set of tables or possibly whether the Dream is different than the Fantasy in this regard?

It wasn't horrible (still on a Disney ship after all) but it was less pleasant than I expected. Might have partially been my servers as well. Rather disappointed in them but I know they have a tough job to do.
