Fantasy June 29, 2013 Meet Up!

Hi Everyone - I am pasting the list of who is already signed up for the FE below. I will post the list of last names on FB. There are four days left to sign up for the FE......

I have to be honest, my kids really want to be part of the FE (and we signed up), but just looking at the list of cabins signed up is making me feel stressed. I saw the pictures in the one link that showed entire queen-sized beds covered with stuff, and one mention of shipping a 15x15x15 box of it home. With luggage-storage space in the cabins already at a premium, those scenarios would put DH right over the edge! And make it not so much fun for the rest of the family. I'd be interested in a smaller group if that is an option. Maybe we could encourage folks not to deliver all within the first three days if the goal is making it last?

I think we should wait till the deadline and see what we have. Those pictures you've seen are extreme. What usually happens is that you get some stuff you use during the cruise and some stuff you really want to take home and it winds up fitting into a space you have in your suitcase.

In a couple days we will have a better idea... No worries.

we split up the cruise days so we did not get everything the first couple of days. People signed up for days they wanted to deliver or within a couple of days. It worked out well so we got gifts the whole cruise. Just a suggestion

Here is some information about the FE exchange. It is a lot of fun! Today is the closing day for signing up - just wanted to let you know.

Here's the information I have posted on the FE sign up page with some helpful information and links:

June 29, 2013 Disney Fantasy Fish Extender List - PATRIOTS OF THE CARIBBEAN! Thanks for signing up for the Fish Extender exchange on the Disney Fantasy Eastern sailing. The cut off date for signing up will be April 14 (this is when cruises must be paid in full and it gives enough time for those personalizing their gifts.) If we wind up having a huge amount of cabins sign up, we may consider splitting into separate groups. If you have any questions or need to make changes after you complete the form, please feel free to PM me (Ranidayz) or e-mail me at ranidayz@gmail.com.

Please remember that this is supposed to be fun! You don't have to spend a ton of money or even make something by hand. Just a small little trinket to brighten someone's day. Just remember that if you sign up on the list, you should plan to give something as well as receive. You can find some great and inexpensive ideas in this thread on the Disboards:

If you have never done a Fish Extender before, please know that they really add to the special magic of a Disney Cruise. The only rule is that every cabin who is signed up must exchange something with every other cabin that is signed up. There are no special dates you have to deliver, no amount you need to spend. Some people will choose to do one gift per cabin, some will do gifts for individuals, some will do gifts for both. That's totally your choice. Just enjoy!

Hi everyone - I have spent the day formatting the FE list One question - does someone here have a relative or traveling companion with the last name of Huie? They registered with three minutes to spare and I have never heard of them nor seen a message from them on either the DIS or FB. I am not comfortable sending the list to someone who has not made themselves known or is not a traveling companion. Please let me know today or I will need to take them off the list.

Would anyone from our group like to join me and my son in doing the 5k? I am starting to walk/run to get in shape for it. We can motivate each other to reach the goal. I know there are apps out to help with the journey.
Just about 100 days, almost down to double digits.

I'm planning on doing it. Just finished my second half Ironman a couple weekends ago. Hopefully my knees will have recovered.

Woo hoo! I got in just under the wire. I was thinking the deadline was April 15th and was going to check with my family if they wanted to join in but when I found out it was due the 14th, I hurried up and signed them up. I'm hoping they don't mind

FE Update:
We have a total of 39 cabins participating. This is a good size. If we were to split into two groups, they would be very small. It would also be a bit complicated since there are many travel parties with multiple cabins. I am working to compile the list and get it out to the participants. I will be sending out the list by deck for ease of delivery. Thanks to everyone who signed up!

I see a couple families going to do pre-cruise meets at the airport hotel the day before our departure. Any going to be at the resort before? We're actually arrive on the 22nd and staying at Old Key West and heading back to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a few days after the cruise. Lets meet!

We're going to be staying at Boardwalk Villas from the 23rd until embarkation Going to get some park time in! I'm game for a pre-cruise meetup!
