Fantasy Holiday Cruise 12/21/13

Families,

When looking through the list I have noticed we have several families who are traveling from all over the world with us next year. In noticing this, I would like to ask everyone to add those members and or/their families to your list of prayers and positive thoughts who may either be in the path or aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Great idea. If you do add the column - please put us down for Girl Scouts and Boy scouts! In previous cruises, we have brought council patches to trade with the scouts. Is anyone interested in doing that?

Hi!

We just returned from our wonderful 7 night Eastern on the Fantasy for our 17th wedding anniversary. This was my 7th DCL cruise and Tom's 3rd---he had more fun than I did this time---I think I like the Dream better. Sigh.

Anyway----I can now totally concentrate on this cruise---I have nothing scheduled before it. I am a long-range planner and stupid me I didn't book a dummy date for a future cruise while we were on board. I'll never learn---but maybe it is a sign that I should plan a trip that doesn't involve a Disney Cruise---perish the thought!

We will be sailing in an inside cabin for our Christmas Holiday cruise---I hope we won't miss our ususal verandah! I'm looking forward to the FE exchange----we are in cabin 9079----by saving money on an inside cabin during this really expensive week---I was able to convince my husband to try the Dream for New Years since we'll be in Florida anyway. So we will be packing for 2 cruises and 2 FE exchanges---wow!

I'm the person who hopes to organize the Secret Mickey exchange---I'll send out a list of questions to interested parties about 6 months out and there will be a date for people to have the questions and answers back to me so my wonderful husband can then assign people (I like to be part of it)and then you can have fun finding little gifts for your person and then near the end of the cruise you leave a holiday card revealing who you are. It is really fun---and you don't need to participate in the FE to participate in the Secret Mickey exchange!

We are booked on this cruise and could not be more excited! This cruise will be mine and my husbands 3rd Disney and the first for our daughter. I just learned about the FE and would like to participate.

I would like to see the ruins, but the trip seems long. It's three of us, one being a 7yr old.

Dear Fellow Cruisers,

I have had a few minutes this morning to update the documents for both the cruise information and FE list. If everyone could please look at their family information and please let me know of any changes that need to made that would be wonderful.
It appears that some of the people who were listed early on in the list, have not responded to update requests so I am not sure whether they will be traveling with us in 367 days!

Thank you Becky for all of your hard work!! I can't believe we are ONLY 367 days away from our cruise. We booked a year ago and that time has actually gone by pretty fast so hopefully the next year won't drag too long.

I also seem to be pushing time too far ahead.....I just checked the spreadsheet and I have no idea why I told you DD would be 17. She will be 16 at time of cruising. Not a big deal but I am certainly not in any rush for her to grow up!

There are three of us: DH Scott, DS Ian and myself Jamie
Cousins will be on board too but have not found DIS yet. (I am working on that)

We were on this beauty for the Maiden Voyage and can not wait to be back on board.

Hi Becky!

GREAT IDEA! We did this for the maiden voyage and still have it going. Great place to talk (keep it as a private group), make plans, etc. that is not in a public forum. More privacy for those of us with kids to talk freely and make plans. We were able to post FE Sign up and excel sheet with names and room numbers etc. Group Plans such as a Private Champaign Tasting we were able to book.

One way we kept it private was the request had to come from here first then in the request on FB they had to tell us room number and DIS Name for confirmation.

Hello...I have opened a FB group for our Cruise business because this DIS board seems a bit challenging to maneuver for some...FB seems to be a bit more user friendly! It is a closed group--PUBLIC can see WHO is in it, but only members of the group can see WHAT is posted.

So...we called it Disney Christmas Fantasy 2013. When you request membership, please include your DISBoard username so we can verify that you're already a member here before we approve membership there...just as an added piece of privacy.

This is our first cruise ever. We are a family of 4 and we have 2 boys who will be 8 and 10 and this will be our first Cruise/ Christmas Cruise ever.

Hi everyone, we are a family of four from Newfoundland, Canada & are booked on the Christmas Cruise as well! So excited.....this will be our 9th Disney cruise, but our first ever Christmas one. Hey everyone! So excited we're less than a year away from the cruise. I have a question for you all. We want to spend one day in WDW to see the new MK. What we're trying to figure out is should we spend the day before or the day after the cruise there.

We're also trying to figure out what to do for transportation from MCO to the port and back and to a resort and what our cheapest option would be. (We're DVC members, btw)
