Hi Girls,
My DD's are 18 and 15 as well, and cruised on the Magic for Easter back in 2009. They are hoping to see kids from that cruise. Regardless, it should be a fun trip. The new Vibe club looks like it will be incredible. The teens are very lucky to have the entire bow of the ship to themselves!!

There I was getting ready for work and I notice a Fedex van outside my house. I thought I haven't ordered anything for delivery.......then I realised it's my cruise docs. I am so excited, it makes it real.

Fed Ex came by and left me a note and text message. Never rang my doorbell.. ARGH. But I have arranged for it to be dropped off without signature tomorrow.

International comes by FedEx.....the rest of you should receive over the coming week by US Postal Service!!!

I am following the live twitter feed for the Christening. Can't believe I didn't just drive to NYC! Excited that Mariah Carey is the God Mother since she is my all time favorite singer. Wouldn't it be amazing if she was on our cruise? Highly doubt it, but I can dream

Thanks to all our Europe friends for the heads up that the cruise docs are coming. So glad you are all set. Also happy to hear that in the US we will receive by mail. Since not home during the day this always makes me crazy. 19 cruises and this is the first in ages that paper docs sent at all. Otherwise, all done online. Really getting excited now!

Oh my gosh...oh my gosh...OH MY GOSH!!!! My documents came today!!!

For the first time in weeks, I wasn't home first to get the mail. DH worked from home and got DD off the bus. With all of you posting about getting your docs, I was soooo worried that he would check the mail and the surprise for DD would be over!!! Luckily he didn't get it! As soon as I saw it in the mailbox, I ran into DH's office to show him...I was so giddy but had to have my little "freaking out" episode where DD didn't see...he poked fun me, jumping up and down and mocking my excitement (but in a funny way!).

Wow, something that seemed like it would never happen and then like it would never come is finally getting ready to happen. I can now say (to DH only) that we are cruising on the Fantasy NEXT MONTH!

We got our documents yesterday too! Or should I say....I got mine, DD 18 and DD 7! My DH and DD 15 and DD 12 did not come in! We are hoping they will show up in the mail today!!

I am so jealous of all the docs arriving! Yesterday I got so excited when I saw an envelope from Disney and it was only advertisement for Premeir Visa Card! Oh well, there is still time.

We made our decision to actually go on this trip kind of late in the game for us. We were wondering if the fish extender list was going to be split into two smaller lists since there are currently 40 people on it. We didn't want to join and bite off more than we could chew with less than five weeks remaining and outrageous hours at work just to take time off. This would also be our first time participating in a group effort. We did a family effort on the Med cruise for our then 4 year old since we had 3 cabins of family and only one child. Am I correct that you pretty much leave something for each member of the family? Thanks for your help in educating on the fish extender program. We look forward to seeing all of you soon!! Not soon enough for me!

I had not intended to split the group into smaller groups as there had not been any request to do so up to this point.

I take the following quote from the FE 101 Basics post found in the Alphabetical FAQ thread for Disney Cruise Line Forum:

It’s become a kind of “Secret Santa” game played by the folks who roam the DIS Boards. The idea is that every DIS Member who is on the same cruise will go around the ship and leave a little “nick-nack” or “whats-it” in the pouches for the other members that are playing along. The generally agreed rules are that you give out gifts to each participant once per cruise, and that the gifts should be very inexpensive trinkets that either fit a cruise or holiday theme and/or show off a little taste of who you are or the place that you call home.

I know that some people enjoy going above and beyond with little things delivered more frequently, or others giving many things at a time. Some like to personalize the item to individuals in the cabin.

I feel that it is up to the participants to do what they are comfortable doing. If this means that someone wishes to prepare a single item for the cabin then this should also be acceptable.

The current list is 40 participants representing 12 cabins. The Dream sailing that I am on just before this one has 28 cabins so it has been split into 2 groups of 14.

I welcome consensus from the group regarding if/at what point to split the FE group.

Once you have seen some of the comments, tluther5406 I will be happy to add you to the FE list if you wish to join. Just send me a PM by noon Friday with your details. Regardless, I am adding you to the roll call.

We received our documents in the mail on Saturday. My DW has started the purchasing of new outfits for herself and the girls. I joined in and picked out a new swimsuit. Cruise clothes are being laid on the bed in the guest room. This is getting exciting.

I think 12 cabins is manageable and do not think it should be split at this point. Typically you leave something for each member in a participating cabin. Especially for cabins with kids as they tend to fight over the smallest things! I think if you only want to leave 1 item for each cabin, then it should be noted as it would be unfair for me to buy items for each person in multiple cabins if they are not doing the same. Just my opinion.

Hi, just wanted to chime in that my FE gift is going to include multiple items, but at this point what I have purchased are definitely things that should appeal to adults and kids, versus purchasing an individual item intended for a specific adult and / or child... of course, my choices are things that entire families would enjoy, not just things that the parents would like or just things the kids would like - I think I've come up with a good mix for everyone!.

That being said, we've gotten some really great things in our FE over the cruises we've been on. Some people who only gave one thing per family made hand-made ornaments that are among my absolute favorite! One person on our cruise made hand-made tote bags for each family and another cross-stitched a bookmark of the Magic for over 60 cabins! So I think gifts can be spectacular whether they are individual or family gifts! Just have fun!

When I said earlier that I give an assortment of FE gifts that are meant for a family, I need to clarify that I give a group of gifts to each stateroom. So if you have 3 staterooms in your party, I will leave FE gifts at all 3. So is it possible to have the list of the number of staterooms again for planning?
