So read reviews of staterooms on deck 6. For the most part they didn't mind having the life boats right below but some were annoyed. Wondering if anyone has some good pics from the verandah of deck 6? Thank you!

We are booked on deck 6 and read about life boat varying opinions and would like to know this as well.

I'd like to know too. It's too late for us to change now but I'd like to know what to expect when we get to our rooms.

This was the Dream Room 6558 but as I understand it they are identical. The boats weren't an issue at all. We could still look over the rail and see below us.

We were in Cabin 6574 on the Fantasy and the lifeboats didn't bother us at all. We loved the location midship and have booked the same exact Cabin for our upcoming cruise in May. Very quiet and close to everything. It was also kind of cool to watch the drills.

I will be on deck 6 this Januarry and this picture makes feel better. I think I will love this deck in our midship location!

Thanks for the replies and Thank you for the picture RmaMom. That is helpful. I think I could get used to that view.

We had a room right above the life boats once. It did not bother us at all. Actually it was rather nice to look down and not see anyone below you.

We were on deck 6 of the Fantasy and we loved it. Not so much for the views, but that it was right in the middle so it was convenient to take the stairs either direction when the elevators were packed.

Stayed in 6556 last week. Loved everything about it and I plan on requesting it for our next cruise--- can I do that?!? I hope so!!

We were in 6028, like a pp said right near 2 staircases.dodnt even notice the lifeboats. I though it was a great room

Yes you can! You have to book early enough if you want a particular cabin.

Glad to read all this. We are in 6598 on Fantasy in May- my issue is that I refuse to be in a connecting room ( once I had someone walk into my room in a new high class hotel at 1 am, after that, never again) so, my room choices were limited.

Fwiw, this is unlikely to occur if your side of the double connecting door is locked.

But, ..... having said that, depending on ship and category, you may gain cabinet/shelf space if not in a connecting cabin.

We were just a bit farther aft from that view - you can see that just behind the lifeboats is a section of room on deck 5 with extended balconies. We could look straight down into them. They didn't really impede our view of the ocean, though.

Thank you all. Looks spectacular.

Funny thing is I brought this up to DH and she said she doesn't think she would want to be able to look straight down anyway so I guess it is all good.

Last year on the Fantasy, we stayed in 6072 (midship) over the lifeboats and didnt affect the view at all. As a matter of fact it was quieter! I just got back from the Fantasy in room 6660 (aft), and we had cabins below us and we could hear all conversations and everything going on down there. It was quite a bit noisier! I would definitely prefer to be over the lifeboats!
