I was looking at booking the Fantasty for the 7-night Western (my favorite iternerary) and I found a new cabin category that looks amazing but I can't find detailed information. I'm hoping someone out there knows more!

The category is 8A, Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with TWO Porthole window seats. The description says the room is the same square footage as the other rooms in the deluxe family category but the picture shows a room that almost looks like a mini-suite with a wall dividing the queen bed from the sitting area (and kids' sleeping area).

What the picture doesn't show, and I can't figure out, is where the bathroom would be and how this room can possibly be the same square footage as the other rooms.

Any ideas? Insider info? PICS?!?! Floor plan??

Thanks!

There was a thread about these rooms recently. You may want to do a search for the thread or maybe someone on here can post a link for you.

Anyway, this is what I took away from the thread. Some of the 8As are HA. I don't think any of them have a split bath. I also only think that the rooms with the wall in them sleep three and not four as there is no pull-down berth. Most of the 8As don't have the wall and is one open area without a privacy curtain. I agree though, the rooms with the wall look awesome and seem more like a mini suite but we have four in our party so we wouldn't fit into that room.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong on any of the above.

There were a couple of extenive threads about these rooms on the Dream last year. If you do a search for dream 8A you will find them and they have pictures. The main information to know about these rooms is that they do not have a split bath. They do have large square footage. The ones with the divider wall only sleep 3. The layout varies from room to room. Some are wide open. Some have a support pole in the middle of the room. All that said, I like them and we are booked GTY to try to get one for our April cruise.

From the look of your upcoming cruise list it looks like we will be cruising at the same time and our sons are close to the same age. :)

The mini-suite 8A rooms, with the wall between the bed and sofa/desk area, sleep only three.
