**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

Hi John! Well after MUCH thought and excitement we have decided to do the FE .. nothing like waiting until the last minute, right!?!? Here is our information again .. already on the first page, but I've updated it here with some added information ...

cncDisney4

Cheryl (54), Curt (58)
From: Boerne, Texas
Stateroom: 7582
Celebration: 30th Wedding Anniversary
Dining: Main
Show Time: Late
Partipate in FE: YES!

This is our first Disney cruise so I'm reading everything I can get my hands on. :surfweb: I am working on getting a picture on the first page with our information posted there.

Looking forward to meeting y'all ... now I'm off to get started on those FE gifts.

Thanks again John for all you are doing ...

Cheryl

Got your information updated on page 1....now we know where to deliver those FE gifts!!!

Thanks! We stayed on-site at Royal Pacific, so we were able to take advantage of early entry to WWOHP. We spent most of that time taking pictures & checking out the shops without waiting in line.:lmao: Can you believe it!? Lines just to get into the shops:scared1: Universal hit a goldmine with this one:rotfl2:

Even if you cant get them to go on the ride, there is a separate line just to walk through the castle. Its also a good way to take pictures without slowing down the line:thumbsup2
You should check out the Universal Studios board here on Dis - lots of good tips & friendly folks!

Our family went to Universal last October and WWOHP. It was definately the highlight and DS's favorite ride...great to take advantage of the extra hour in the am to head straight there from our hotel, Royal Pacific. Hotel was nice too, great food by the nice big pool :) Even tho DD was too young (too short)for the HP castle ride, she enjoyed the castle and waited with DH in the special room by the ride entrance...next time she'll ride pixiedust: The Incredible Hulk coaster was a one time only for me...scary & so fast (check out you tube videos of it!):scared:

You have been added to page one!!! Great to have you join in the fun!
:welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome:

Wonderful! Thanks so much :woohoo: Been making lots of FE gifts and staying awake at night with all kinds of ideas...whew! We'll keep checking for any meet & greets so we can get to know everyone:grouphug:

Continue to let us know when you update!!! It ain't (yep...ain't) a bother!

Thanks!! I am trying to add a new rambling every day and random ramblings on weekends, randomly......:rolleyes1

I don't know if it's anyone's cup of tea, and since I really needed another outlet to yammer on about my Disney stories and trip planning...it seems to be working out ok for me. It's almost like my story journal.....so check back often if you enjoy...if not that's ok too!! popcorn::

Getting my daily cruise fix and found some stuff I didn't see before :) Here's a link to a bunch of crew info videos (kinda cool-- other companies are pretty quiet about their crew areas/living/services...). The top videos seem to be Remy videos, but there are several more if you scroll down that talk about life onboard.

Here's one that's on there that I just thought was neat. Not crew related, but nice community touch for Disney :)

So there's my fix for the day :) Should keep me busy for at least a *little* bit :)

I couldn't help myself, I checked our cruise for restricted rates. Sure enough they are there. For our family, it's ~$ 1000 cheaper. But, considering we know we are getting a 5c for the price, I am ok with it.

UUgh I just checked too. We have an oceanview and I only see the reduced fare on inside and verandah. So it wouldn't be cheaper for us, but we could upgrade to a verandah for about the same price. Oh well. Maybe we can upgrade at the port. If I do that, how does that affect FE? This is our first time participating in FE. Still have to make the darn things, and the gifts too. Do you put your name on the gift or do you give it anonymously? thanks

Actually, I just ran the numbers and two verandah cabins (we have two oceanview now) would be almost $1000 more, so it's not really a savings for us. So... I still feel okay about what we paid and we are so excited about this cruise. We booked it almost 2 years ago and it's finally getting close. Can't wait to see everyone and just enjoy a weeks vacation with my family.

We put our names on our gifts but other cruises I've gone the fellow cruisers delivered gifts and there were no names on them. I think its personal preference. I'd liked the ones with names so I could thank them if I saw them onboard, or when we got home.

In terms of room changes what we did the last time was if someone was a GTY and didn't get a room assignment before getting to check in, or if they upgraded or changed rooms at the port. We told them to Include a piece a paper with their gifts that gave their new room number so we could deliver their gifts.

If you deliver your gifts before the others do, they can update their list before delivery, if its after then we would hold the "missing" cabin gift until we got the notification and just deliver that cabins thing separately. I hope I explained it right.

I can't wait for the cruise!

Friends: not sure about you, but I have for years been reading every single TR, particularly of the Dream.
Tonight, something hit me... I can't remember the last time I read a TR about the need to sprint out on Castaway Cay day to get a "good" spot (e.g. nearby tree or hammack) early. I really remember occasional TR mentioning this in past.
This is particularly interesting since the Dream has 1000 more passengers like the Fantasy. They must have really increased the chairs from 4-6 years ago... :goodvibes
Hey... just seems like that... not sure! :confused3

We were on the Dream last year and didn't have a problem with finding empty chairs, but I remember those reviews, too. Disney expanded Castaway Cay in 2010 if I'm correct. We were there in February, the weather was beautiful but the water was still cold, I hope this wasn't the reason.:):):)

I checked it too and was happy to learn that we still payed less, got the stateroom that we wanted and had a chance to make a Palo reservation. Very, very happy!!!:banana::banana:
