Hi everyone!
I have a question on what MDR rotations are available on the Disney Fantasy. I am wondering what rotation to request and which day to try and book Remy and/or Palo dinner. We are 3 adults. There isn't much info on our cruise yet online or in our pre-arrival guide.

We'll be on the Feb 20th Cruise on the Fantasy from Port Canaveral: 7 night Western Caribbean with Star Wars Day at Sea. Sounds pretty amazing and I'm so excited! Here's our itinerary:

From what I am told, the Star Wars day will be the second day at sea, which is Day 5 of the cruise. I will not book anything on day 5 as I'd like to reserve that day for any Star-Wars related activities/meals.

I think Pirate Night is Day 3 of the cruise, after Cozumel. I'm OK with missing this menu but not sure which is the MDR to miss. Enchanted Garden?

I've heard some people say that the Crush show in Animator's Palate is probably the one to miss if you don't have kids in your party. I definitely do not want to miss the one where your drawing comes to life. Not sure which of these comes first.

What night is the Captain's Gala Dinner usually? My sister would kill me if we missed this because lobster is her favorite food so she want's to be there when they serve lobster in the MDR! Our last cruise was the 5-night on the Magic and it didn't include a Captains Gala or any sort of formal dinner.

Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

When I called last month, maybe three weeks ago now, they still didn't have the info. I read from someone pirate and Star Wars were going to be back to back. I have no idea if that's true. They didn't even have the dining rotations available when I called. They said they could put in a request for which room you wanted 3 times, but that didn't help with what I wanted to do, ie. line up crush with palo and still keep pirates, Star Wars, formal and semi formal. I'm gonna try calling again this month. I think if you do animators only twice, crush is first, if that helps.

Pirates night is after Cayman Islands from what I understand...or cozumel. It's kinda all unknown for now which makes planning frustrating. Thanks for the tip on the crush... in case I have to miss that show too. I'd love to do know the outcome of your efforts! Thanks for the info!

Anyone have any more recent information on this question? I have the same itinerary (two weeks earlier) and am also trying to figure out plans for dining at Palo/Remy.

From what I understand, Pirate's Night is after Cozumel and SWDAS is on the second sea day. Trying to figure out what is going on the evening of the first sea day (formal night?) and the third sea day (captain's gala?).

I friend called so that we could start making our plans since our 120/125 day window is around the corner. We were also trying to figure out when to place our Palo/Remy dinners. This is what she was told:

Sunday night (sea day #1) is the formal dinner
Monday (Cozumel) is the day of the Pirate's Party
Wednesday (sea day #2) is SWDAS
Thursday (sea day #3) is semi-formal night.

edit to add: (and then I realize the person that posted above me is the friend in question :p)

I agree! I can't wait until the first Star Wars cruises actually gets underway in January so then we'd get more feedback and hopefully some trip reports!
I requested a dining rotation of ERAERRA. For some reason I felt Royal Court was the most "formal" of restaurants and we'd have fun dressing up for formal night there. I am thinking I will try for Pirate's Night to go to Palo/Remy. I don't want to miss any of the Animator's Palate shows! I figure we can have breakfast at Enchanted Garden so we will get some additional meals at this MDR. I can't wait!

If Pirate Night is night #3 (Cozumel), then I doubt you will have 1231223 rotations. The MDR that everyone is in on Pirate Night is usually the one to be repeated 3 times. But I don't know if the SWDAS will affect that.

Hmm I did not realize that. I think the SWDAS kinda throws an unknown twist in the planning! I was looking at the few possible MDR rotations on the 7-night Fantasy cruises and the 1231223 appealed to me most. I am not sure what to do now! LOL.

You will probably still get what you are looking to do if you stick with a rotation started in EG. That will definitely put you in Royal Court on Formal Night. If your Pirate Night is really night 3, then that night AP will show the pirate drawings, not the Crush or animation shows. Book Palo/Remy for night 3. If I had to guess, I'd say Pirate Night on night 3 will give you 1233123 rotations.

Seems like they DID switch the Pirate Night to Cozumel instead of Grand Cayman. My detailed itinerary now says as much (one of the final pages of the downloadable guide of the reservation). It originally said that Pirate Night would be Grand Cayman night. I wish we could get an answer regarding the possible dining rotations. I would like to make plans as well.

YES! I check almost daily to see if there are updates. One of the things I'd love to see/hear about is if they are going to have BBB themed makeovers like with Pirate Night. I'd love to bring my DD in for a Star Wars makeover to go with her Princess Vader outfit.

So hard to plan when you don't know all the things!

Has anyone called to find out what the possible rotations are for this cruise? I looked on other boards, and it seems like Itinerary C on the Western Caribbean has the following possible rotations:

RAERAAE
AERAEER
ERAERRA

Of course the SWDAS may change it all up. I have not heard of a 1233123 rotation. I will try calling and find out, although I don't think I will find out much.

Hmm, I guess they changed pirate night to Cozumel? Bummers. If we do have Pirate Night in animators...do you think it's ok to miss that show? I'd rather not miss any shows in AP since it's my first time on the Fantasy and I'd like to see everything at least once. If Day 4 (Grand Cayman) isn't anything special that evening, I may book Remy/Palo for then.

We haven't called yet but I send in my requests next week and I'll be sure to ask the concierge desk at that time as we also do not want to miss AP on any night.

I love DIS... I didn't know you could request a dining rotation early. Wow! I'll be watching to see what you all find out. We are on this cruise in March. How and when should I call to ask about this?

If you booked through a travel agent they can put in the request for you. Or I guess you can call Disney Cruise Line directly to get more info. It seems, however that the itinerary for this cruise is an exception to the other 7-night western Caribbeans, and it keeps changing, so I'm not sure the CMs would know anything yet either. It would help if they could at least let us know the possible dining rotations for this cruise. I will give them a call later today/tomorrow and ask.

I've heard some people say that the Crush show in Animator's Palate is probably the one to miss if you don't have kids in your party. I definitely do not want to miss the one where your drawing comes to life. Not sure which of these comes first.

Usually, the Crush show is your first night in Animator's Palate (and has the Animator's Palate menu), and the animation show is your last night that you are in Animator's Palate (you get a dumbed down version of the menu for that night). Not sure if the Star Wars theme affects that at all.

What night is the Captain's Gala Dinner usually? My sister would kill me if we missed this because lobster is her favorite food so she want's to be there when they serve lobster in the MDR! The Captain's Gala dinner, which includes lobster, is usually the last sea day, the night before Castaway Cay. Again, I don't know if the Star Wars theme affects that at all.

BTW, If AP is showing Pirate stuff on the screens during Pirate Night...would they possibly be showing Star Wars clips during SWDAS?? Just sayin'...that would be awesome to see. :darth::jumping1:
Of course that will probably not be the rotation that I end up with.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I was thinking they would just be doing the known dining rotations for Itinerary C Western on the Fantasy. But now that they moved Pirate Night to Day 3 instead of Day 4, it may change the rotations offered. I think the Captain's Gala and the See Ya Real Soon dinners will still be in place.
