Good morning, what a lovely day...for sailing away yes I know there's another week to go...for you guys but we have our first of two sail aways today....weeeehooooo! We are currently awaiting our shuttle back to the airport to get the DCL transport to the port. So excited. Enjoy your week building unto the cruise...I sure am going to enjoy mine!

I'm so excited for you Jo!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful cruise and make sure the ship is warmed up for us!!!

I would love to go to the meet but it might be tough for me and my family. We are staying at Art of Animation and taking the DCL transportation to the port. From what I read I should expect to be on the ship around 1:30 or 2:00pm. So with getting lunch, trying to get Palo Brunch reservations, and getting into our rooms 3:00 o'clock might be a stretch. Maybe we will get to the port earlier, I'll be crossing my fingers but will play it by ear.

Really hope you can make it, the first day is chaotic. We can stay and chat until we get the call to attend the lifeboat drill, so we should be there at least until 3.45pm.

Happy packing and travelling to everyone leaving in the next few days!! Nearly party time!

Hi everyone - YEA, it is almost time to cruiseI think I finished up all my shopping this afternoon so all I need to do now is get rid of 1/4 of what I already laid out, finish the laundry and clean the house. We are heading out of Tuesday to drop our daughter in VT with her Nana, then we leave on Wednesday morning for two days at WDW before the cruiseI hope everyone has safe travles and see everyone at 3 next Saturday

I technically had my last day at work last night. Well, not really, because I have to go to some training Monday and Tuesday but that's a lot different than my normal job so I feel like I've sort of started my vacation . I am taking my 9 year old daughter to see the American Idol concert tonight, I'll have those 2 training days...and then Wednesday and Thursday will be packing and last minute shopping days. I can't wait until Friday!

What is the spa raffle??
We may POSSIBLY try to upgrade our cabin at the port so if we are successful at that I will place a note in everyone's Fish Extenders with our new cabin assignment, if you DON'T hear from me it stayed the same.

Spa raffle- on other cruises, they have a raffle. You go to the spa, they sometimes give you a tour. You fill out a entry blank and throw it into the basket. At 3:00 they start drawing the names of the winners. You have to be present to win. The prizes are different spa treatments. They also usually have a special deal (lower price) on some of the services if you book while you are there. I still feel they are over priced compared to what I pay at home.

I crossed several items off my check-off list: magnets, airplane seat assignments, and theme park tickets. With each item I cross off, the excitement builds and builds.

I have never been to the spa raffle. I may have to give it a go this time.

Is anybody watching the Olympics? Good job, London! They are fabulous

Hope everyone is enjoying the countdown to the cruise!

I would normally be packing and unpacking, eliminating half of it....then sneaking stuff back in to my case..... just in case! This time we booked a week at WDW before the cruise and while we're having fun at the parks I'm beginning to wonder if this was such a good idea. Apart from missing the pre cruise excitement I'm actually exhausted from all the walking, standing in line, the heat, the buses, did I mention the heat?? However, I think the upside is that this cruise is going to have to be about relaxing. I normally go crazy on the planning front and have tons of excursions booked and we pack a lot into our cruises with the kids highlighting most of the Navigator......I was regretting that we were so busy with moving house in June and not having booked stuff ( other than Palo) but think now that will be perfect.......intend to find a comfy chair on Deck 4 and zzzzzzzzz for most of the cruise!

It's been forever since I've been on the boards and I feel like I've missed so much! We were in Nebraska and then Colorado and are finally back home!

Believe it or not, I just started making our FE's yesterday. There is nothing like waiting until the last minute. For some reason, I always work best on a deadline!

Anyway, I love the way everything is turning out! It will be a fun and busy day because tonight we head out for our trip!

We will be at the Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter at this time tomorrow. WOOOO HOOOOO! We finally told the kids last night and they are sooooo excited. Thursday more US and IOA and then Kennedy Space center on Friday.

We will all be looking forward to some relaxing and fun times on the Fantasy. We all can't wait!

I understand about this cruise being about relaxation. I was at WDW over the weekend with my daughter performing at DD and MK. Besides dealing with the heat (112 degrees!) and coming home doing laundry and packing up the car to leave on Thursday I am definatly looking for some R & R. Save me a seat on Deck 4.

Sunshineminnie- you'll love Harry Potter at Universal, especially the Forbidden Journey. The line moves through Hogworts which is amazing and then the ride itself......I have Vertigo and am really scared of anything that involves drops or rollercoaster type movement. Kept my eyes shut for most of the ride which was silly- it's a motion simulator and the bits I peaked at were amazing but I missed most of it through my own silly fears. I made myself keep my eyes open on the Simpsons ride which is similar and it was so much fun. If I get a chance before we leave I'm going back to do Harry Potter again!
