I completely agree, my heart sank when I read the initial post about merging. Thanks again for setting this up! We are very excited! My closet is almost full of fish extender goodies and we still have 164 days! Crazy!

So we are totally confused.
We just want to meet others who enjoy Disney and for the kids to get to know some other kids before sailing. Sadly we purchased gifts for kids in our group who have since backed out, obviously because of the other group, but it was my fault for trying to purchase things early...but I guess the first time is a learning experience and I was warned to not buy until things were finalized but I'm feeling a bit disappointed at this point and really not sure what to expect. We will just wait and see what the group decides at this point. Also this post is the same feelings of KaloMatt from the Stormtroopers.group.

About me - I am a DIS board-addicted mother who first found out about the joys of cruising with the Mouse when my DD was just 13 and my twin DSs were 10. We were hooked. But as the kids hit college, tuition replaced vacation expenses...

Last December, in the midst of a terrible family illness, my daughter and I took advantage of an unbelievable Wonder GTY rate and discovered just how incredible the DCL holiday theme is...it was a terrific break and knew we had to go again.

My daughter is a very successful labor and delivery nurse from Chicago. I am so grateful she shares my Disney addiction but I think her many trips to WDW, beginning as a toddler, may have helped. I am a college professor who lives in Indianapolis.

We look forward to meeting our fellow DIS cruisers!

First off, you need to get to 10 posts. You can do this in the Test Board are of the Techinal Support area: http://www.disboards.com/threads/test-thread-to-get-to-10.3461239/

Sorry for the delay, Katekins13, I must have missed the notification of your post. I'll add you to the FE lists...we are in a transition state right now since we haven't heard from some folks so I suspect they will not be participating but it's hard to know when to remove their names....with this in mind, my hope is to clarify the lists during the beginning of August!

Hello everyone!!! My name is Larisa. My fiancé and I are getting married and sailing off on the Disney Fantasy on December 3rd! We couldn't be more excited and wanted to participate in all of the Disney fun! I'm not sure if fish extender is just for the kiddos, but we would love to participate! We are an adult couple with no kiddos yet, just Disney fanatics!

Just wanted to check about the FE...did you plan to participate?? I didn't add you to the list...do you want to be included in the exchange?

Well, folks, I've updated the FE lists and indicated the six cabins that we haven't heard from...and suspect aren't cruising with us...in addition I have noted folks who haven't checked in since February or March...
In August I'll try to ping the FE list members so that the lists can be up to date...as we hit PIF dates, I know we can be sure who is participating and who isn't...

Yes...on a 7 day on Fantasy with different itinerary...but I had been very sick prior to going and didnt get to experience it the way I would have liked...so very excited about this one!!!

Have you been on a disney cruise before?

My daughter and I went on a Christmas cruise in December of 14. We went on the Wonder on a ridiculously low rate - $100 per night for 5 nights out of Miami...and we discovered the bliss of December cruising! That cruise followed a long gap from family cruises in 2003 and 2006 when my children were children/teenagers.

A few of the holiday highlights: Gingerbread house making - truly a highlight and great for kids...bring some extra candy for decorating to keep everyone busy though (you get a package of gumdrops and small round candies...more candy would make the house beautiful and keep little hands busy). Oh, and this isn't your normal gingerbread...it is delicious and yummy...plus it makes your cabin smell amazing! The house becomes the perfect snack with afternoon tea! (you have to eat it or throw it out because you can't take it off the ship when you depart)

The Christmas decorations are everywhere and fun to examine...and lastly, Belle is available in her RED dress...yes, super special for Belle fans!

OK, folks, this is an important discussion topic...
As has been discussed in previous posts, another site offers a group of 200 folks (on our cruise) involved in fish extender gift exchange...I've been lurking on the other site and know that many people are enjoying the trivia games and the interactions... - so I think we need to decide whether using the DIS boards to maintain FE lists is futile...by August/September will we still have two active FE lists on the DIS boards? Am I/we clinging to an outdated method to connect people? I'd appreciate some feedback to know how others feel about the sustainability of this two-pronged approach...please respond...thanks!

We are still here, and plan on doing this FE. The last time that I logged on here there hadn't been much chatter, and somehow I didn't receive the notifications that there were new posts. I am also on the other site, but I prefer to stay on the FE group here. Even if that means that it gets split into 2 smaller groups. We are flying this time around, so keeping it a reasonable size is what is important for us. I do wish there was more talk on here. Our last cruise DISboard was very active and we became pretty close over the year prior to sailing. We are even on this particular sailing to cruise with friends we met on here last time.

I am working through my FE shopping list, got suntan lotion as an amazing deal, and have been reading about excursions until I am totally confused on what we'll do!
