Just watching the live recording of part 2 of this weeks podcast. Very inspiring discussion with Aaron (ADP) and Chris (CrazyDisneyMan).

I hope everybody is able to listen to this segment when they get time.

Thanks Jeff! It was very humbling to share a little bit of our stories about the struggles and successes we have had with running and walking. Thanks for your thoughts!

I agree with Jeff! It was great hearing your perspectives. Great seeing you guys this weekend too!

:drinking1 Here's to crossing more starting/finish lines!

Chris, since you don't run, do you wear walking shoes or running shoes?

This segment combined several of my favorite things - the podcast, running, Disney and Disney marathon weekend. I listened while running today and though I was sad I had to miss the weekend myself it was awesome to live it through their stories. I love the segments like this and Jess' College Program that focus on some of the unique aspects of Disney.

Congrats guys- you are officially marathoners!

Just watched this segment and I must say you Aaron and Chris you are very inspiring. I was on the fence but I am gonna try a race this year. Thanks for sharing.:)

I'd like to encourage all of you to give a runDisney race a try. If you're looking for that different Disney vacation experience try running in one of the many races offered throughout the year. Running through the parks is very cool and gives you a different perspective of them instead of the usual park touring.

On top of all that you'll have the most incredible adrenaline rush of your life when you beat your race distance and cross the finish line for the first, second, or third time. It's one of the most gratifying feelings of your life, and I can gurantee you, no matter how much pain or discomfort you may be feeling, you'll be smiling from ear to ear.

To explore all of the races offered in the runDisney lineup in 2014 and beyond visit wdwinfo.com or rundisney.com

I decided that I really need to do something this year with my health and during the segment a couple of us were in the chatroom and decided that next year's 5k is what we are going to do...so I am going to get my training up and started next week for it!! I am excited about it and I think I have a friend on board to joining us for the adventure!!!

I really enjoyed the segment on the Marathon Week. I like to run the races but was not able to be there this year. Listening to the segment got me excited for next year. It was really good. Thank you.

Last January, I was fat and out of shape. Now, I am fat but in a little better shape after training. I ran the Jingle Jungle 5k (Animal Kingdom) in November and the Half this past weekend (Epcot & Magic Kingdom). My next will most likely be early October with Tower of Terror 10 Mile. If I can do it, most anyone can. Just takes one step at a time.

Absolutely loved this segment!!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Made me think about actually trying a race sometime.

I am not a runner but I thought this segment was just awesome! It actually made me teary...perhaps that means I'm a bit like Teresa :) Truly inspirational, guys!

I wear running shoes: Brooks Adrenaline. They fit perfectly.

That's the same shoe I run in.

As a new runner myself (I started last year) I would caution everyone not to buy a certain shoe just because someone else recommends it or likes it themselves. Go to a specialty running store. It's worth the extra cost. Have them look at your current shoes to see how they wear. Have them watch you run. Have them measure your feet. Talk to them about the type of running you do or intend to do. Try on several pairs from different brands and job around in them and then choose the one that feels the best. There isn't one right choice for everyone.

I also really enjoyed the segment! :thumbsup2
