I haven't tried it and I do not know where it comes from but I read about it on flyer talk. For the corporate id, type in the number 1 and then use whichever coupon you have. I have a rate of $264 for pick up of a midsized SUV at noon on April 30th and drop off at 5pm on May 8th. It includes insurance, surcharges, etc. Without using 1 for my dates but using a coupon, the rate is $709!
You may want to have a backup id and coupon just in case- I will- but I thought I'd share in case it does work. I have better things to do with $445!

Where did you get this?

I used it too and it is really weird. It takes my coupon off but then adds it back on? Also in the list of all the extras, coverage, refuel, etc. etc. it says included all the way down the column. The only extra charge is $1.67 for sales tax?? Very odd so it makes really nervous! :confused3

I got a great price on a mid-size SUV for 6 days Easter week, $182.

That's terrific. I added another day onto our October trip. I had $113 for three days, but when I searched today for another reservation, the best I could get was $233 for a compact. With your code, I went to a midsize for $177. Without the code, $500.

I found it on the flyer talk forums. I suggest holding onto any other codes just in case they pull this one.

I get a minivan from March 12 - 19 at St.Petersburgh/Clearwater airport for a grand total of $220.74. I added the Coupon Code AD4027JDO and it takes $40.00 off and then adds $10.00 back.

Please make sure to report back and let us know if it worked and if you had any issues!!

Thank you so much!! Just got a 13 day mid-size SUV April rental for 364.00. Hooray! I appreciate you sharing this w/us!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Why would you try a code you have no clue of its origination? If extras are included, you can pretty much guarantee it's a restricted code to a specific company, possibly employees of ERAC itself. If you get into an accident or have a violation, you can pretty much guarantee that the coverage won't matter because you rented under false pretense and the contract is null and void. Think that's bad enough, your own insurance or secondary coverage may also decline any claim because it is a form of fraud.

Can anyone tell me how this actually works! You type the number 1, into the corporate id spot, then add the corporate id number (like the continental one from mousesavers?) then add the $40 off coupon in the coupon section? I can't seem to get this to work for me at all, and am wondering if I am missing something!

You put the number 1 into the corp. ID and AD4027JDO into the coupon spot. That's it.

Has anyone called Alamo to see what exactly this Corp. ID is for? I'd feel like a tool getting at the counter and finding out it's for some elite corportation! :lmao:

I think this is an obvious error by Alamo.:confused3
I also did a "test" booking and if I include the pre paid gas option (as I normally do with my bookings)...I get it for free !
Its a glitch with the booking system which they will eventually catch on to.
You will also see that any coupon code you type in is accepted and then tacked right back on again (ie:try just using the magic"1" code in the Corp ID box and the total amount will be the same).
Another error is all of the Inclusive Rate Items are as follows:

No Charge Distance Included
Collision Damage Waiver Full Included
Extended Protection Included
Upfront Fuel Included
Customer Facility Charge 2.50/day Included
Airport Access Fee 10 % Included
Florida Surcharge 2.00/day Included
Tire/battery Fee .02/day Included
Vehicle License Fee .69/day Included
Sales Tax (6.50%) $2.04
Guaranteed Base Rate Included
Unlimited Miles Included

Thats not normal.
The only thing they are charging for is Sales Tax of $2-04 ?

It appears to be using Contract ID X (whatever X is ?)

As tempting as it looks,I think it will be realized and eventually rectified by Alamo and the bookings using it will be null and void.

I'm not going to sound quite as adamant as jlewis, but I have to agree. I tried the code myself and it makes me nervous. It would have given me something like $90 in savings $182 vs $277.

I love surprises...when they don't cost me money ;). I'd rather work on the price for months in advance.

Did nothing for me. I have a short rental in Westchester next month, it brought it up over $300. I'll stick with my $113.

This apparently has something to do with the toll pass. Check out htallcdotcomslashalamo for more info.

I checked that site but I didn't see anything about promo or discount codes. Could you be more specific to where on that link to look?

Be prepared to show proof that you are a travel agent :thumbsup2

We have been renting cars for years with all of the companies, and have never had to show anything more than a driver's license and credit card. I have never been asked to produce any form of membership to any group that I have booked cars under. Car rates change so often that a low rate wouldn't garner anyone's attention at the counter. All that agent wants to do is either upsell you to a larger car since they often do not have as many smaller cars available as they book, sell you to collision insurance and get you out the door. That said, I always have a back up reservation or two to fall back on.

Alamo questions:
Recently I joined Alamo Insiders. When you reserve a car using your Alamo Insiders information it says "the rental is currently being held with CC ending ***********. Does this mean they have charged your CC at the time of reservation? It says you have 30 minutes from the time of reservation to cancel.

My next question is...if you do pre-pay or use the Kiosks do you still have to see a "live person" at the counter?

I'm wondering because if someone books using this Corp. ID and you avoid the counter who would be the person asking for ID??

I've only ever booked having to go to the counter so this is all new to me! Thanks!!
