who knows? if fantasmic is going to be open in dec. i haven't heard any news bout it in dec lately

It's closed for renovations Jan 30 - Feb 3. So it looks like you'll just miss it.

We arrive Feb 4, so thankfully, since it's my personal favorite out of the night shows, we'll just miss it. *wipes brow* phew!

While making reservations at the 50's Prime Time Cafe for the first week of December, the CM I spoke with referred to a 7:00 show time for Fantasmic and wanted to know if we wanted the reservations for before or after the show. Sounds like a go to me!

The times were posted on the Disney website. I am going Dec. 10 and have the dinner package.

WOW! So glad I have those fantasmic package reservations for the 27th :cool1: (the 1st day of our trip). Had no idea it was going down for rehab during our stay! Thanks!

The disney website shows it playing at 7pm Feb 1-3rd. Can anyone else confirm it will not be showing those days?

Where did you find this information? I can't find reference to it anywhere. It is NOT on the Disney World website. The official website shows that Fantasmic WILL be performed at 7 pm nightly during that time period and in fact, shows two shows on Saturday night............ one at 7 pm and another at 8:30 pm. Could you please reference where you found this as it definitely will make a change in my itinerary plans. Thanks!! :flower:

I asked this same question a couple of weeks ago reguarding a refurb and got a reply from a poster that had some sort of "MGMSTUDIOS" name and web site. I cant remember exactly. I was refered to a site that said Disney had not made any definite decision on the rehab around jan 30-feb 3rd but is considering it. My plans are dependant on this too. If that poster is still around, can you please update us!

I have asked about this numerous times including when I made my ADRs. We go at the end of January because we have a school break and for about the past 5 years Fantasmic has been down for about 4-5 days the last week of January. They seem to avoid the weekends though. We have plans for Sunday 1/29. In previous years when making our ADRs they typically wouldn't let us reserve the Fantasmic Pkg until closer to it happening when the schedule was firmed up. This time we got our ADR at 90 days out no problem.

I got the info at allearsnet.com. They have a section for refurbs and ride closings. allearsnet.com has been reliable before with refurbs, but if the official WDW website is saying something different, then I'd go with the official site.

Update: I just checked with allearsnet.com, and it now says nothing about Fantasmic being closed at all for Jan/Feb. :confused3

I was told that Hollywood and Vine will be down at that time -- so no Fantasmic dinner packages at H&V but Fantasmic is not down for rehab.

I finally found my original post. Im not good a links, so if you go to the search box and type in "fantasmic refurbishment" it will take you to the thread. Look down at quickgolds reply which has a link to the subject.

You're lucky, we had the Fantasmic dinner package all planned (around $200) and they canceled it because of rain. Next time I won't plan it the night before we leave! They gave us 4 free movie tickets and 1/2 off the dinner (which was $36 per person even if we didn't get the 3 courses).
