Fantasmic?????

I've decided to not go with a dinner package so what would be the best way to view fantasmic? Is there a fastpass option?
I'm taking my daughter and grandson for 3 days but planned only one evening for fantasmic,

Pretty much the only way to see F! from a decent spot is to get a FP for it. They are distributed starting at park opening on the trail that leads to Big Thunder Ranch. There are viewing areas for standby guests (no FPs or dining packages), but the area is off to the far sides.

Are the F! Fast passes like WOC ones where they are not linked so you can still get others?

Correct. You will be able to get a F! FP and still get another FP in Disneyland right away.
