Ok, help please! What are the seating options for Fantasmic? Do you really need to get the reserved seating? Or is that the best option for seeing the show? This is a show I really want to see!!! Thanks!

Depends on crowd levels and how long you want to stake out a seat, really. You can pay a premium for reserved seating, too.

Well, we are going March 13-17, so I'm sure it will be crowded. From what I've heard, the reserved seating is either 59 or 60 per person...I've heard both prices. I think we'll take our chances staking out a spot!

We tried eating at Riverbelle Terrace and holding a spot, but it was just too long of a wait to hold the table and chairs. One time we waited and made a claim along the riverfront, but by the time the show started we were like sardines and my poor mom was nearly sat on by a family trying to "fit" next to her. So for the next trip, we made the decision to do the reserved desert seating and it was work every penny! We didn't have to wait around all afternoon and the treats were yummy!! An added bonus is having seats for the fireworks after F! was finished (first show only)

We saw it on Friday and picked out a spot about 45 minutes before the show and had a good view. Last night the park was much busier but we still could have found a good spot within an hour of show time had we wanted too. We didn't watch the show we just walked by the crowd before the show.

Hhhhmmm...so many decisions!!! I wonder if the crowds would be less for the second showing. That may be when we'd try to get a spot. I don't know.:confused3 I do know that we'll be able to see the fireworks from the Park Vue across the street, where we're staying...probably the one spot I'm sure about! ha!

One trick is to hover around the end of the show and grab a spot as the people from the first show are leaving.

The dessert package is $59 per person which is a lot for sure. We just did it for the first time last month and it was neat, but I don't feel the need to pony up for it again.

I was told by DL employees that the 2nd showing is less crowded but never stayed to see for myself.

I think we'll just hang around for the second showing. Our three days are quickly filling up!!! :scared1: I may never come back home!!!! :yay:

Yea im currently in the car on my way home after 3 days in the parks and I keep thinking of things we never got to do. Guess I'll be making a list for next time.

I'm already planning a trip after the construction is finished at DCA!:goodvibes

We will be there next week and I have reserved seats($60 each) for us at the first showing. We did this in August of 2009 and really thought it was worth it. I don't remember watching the fireworks from the reserved seats though. Is that a good place to watch from?

A lot of the DISers would say they would not do the 1st show and just do the 2nd show instead of the 1st show. Since you can see the fireworks from the Hub area and than head on over to the ROA for the 2nd show of F! When the fireworks ends, the CMs instruct the guests that are leaving the ROA to head towards the Adventureland side to exit the park. Sometimes people want to see F! again and the people who did not have a good view to watch F, they just move up closer for their group. Most of the people watching the fireworks from the hub come through the Frontierland area and the guests have to wait until most of the guests that watch F! have cleared the area. Some people also wait when they are in Critter Country and head over to the viewing area when everyone is moving. It's another good way to watch F! if people are not wanting to wait for hours to see the first show of F!.

Another good tip is the Light Tower Trick posted by S.S. Columbia, if people don't want to wait a long time for a good spot.

DD and I LOVED Fantasmic.. we will do it again on this trip. It is pricy.. but its better then waiting hours ahead of time for decent spots. The desert box was HUGE... pics just don't do it justice.. We shared one.. and brought the other home with is. Expensive yes, but worth it :)

I have done the reserve dessert seating as well as just waiting for the show to start. The dessert seating is awesome, well worth the price. I paid for a party of 7 and kept it a surprise until that night and they all loved it. My favorite spot to watch the show is the railing in front of Pirates. You can see the entire show from there and no one is in front of you.

We did the light tower trick last summer. We arrived about 15 or 20 minutes before the first show and there was one family at the railing in front of us, so we stood behind them. Everywhere else was about 6 rows of people deep at the railing. We were directly behind the control booth. We weren't dead set on seeing F! We just thought we would try which is why we walked up late. If we didn't find a spot that was ok too. If you really have your heart set on seeing it then you should arrive earlier. After the tower went up, people quickly filled in behind us. We just didn't want to invest a lot of time in the show.

In 2003, I paid for premium seating ( balcony) with dessert. Is that still on?

I loved the balcony better than waterside, very different selection of food and very excellent service.
