Hi again !

So I am looking for any tips or experiences from people who have seen the show without doing the dining package. How was the wait? How early should we arrive? We don't want to do the pkg just in case that day the kids are too tired to see show etc. We would feel as if we wasted a credit in that case. Thanks again for more help!:goodvibes

We went with a large group of 12 last June without the package. We had previously booked a package and then it RAINED and was cancelled, so we went without the second trip. What worked for us is we arrived early, like 7:15-7:30 for a 9:00 show. Being that we had kids ranging from 4-11, we brought snacks in from around the park, coloring books, Nintendo DS, you name it.
We got a seat no prblem and the kids were occupied with all our junk, but mostly by the crowd doing "the wave".

What time of year? How busy the park is will play a large part in when it closes to capacity (if at all).

My advice would be to skip it. :) Not worth the wait you will surely endure!

In mid September, I don't think you'll have too many problems, especially if you go on a night with a second show! When I was there for Labor Day week last year, the second show on Monday, September 5th never filled to capacity. I would shoot to go in 30-45 minutes in advance if it's something you would like to do. Have fun :goodvibes

PS if you're going to a second show, the line may look ridiculous. Don't worry! They hold everyone out while they clean the amphitheater after the first show, and then let everyone in in one big rush.

Really? I do want to see it but wonder if its best to do it when the kids are a tad bit older and can handle the wait a bit better.:confused3

Goodness! Personally I am not wasting 2 hours of park time for a show. *shrug*

The week we are going, F! is every night so here's hoping that keeps the crowds low.

of course it is just my opinion and we all know how that goes... everyone has one.

We just don't find this show all that "wow" we only do it if we have the F! or we walk in and sit down at the last second. best seats? no. But then my family doesn't really care of the show the way some people seem to.

JMHO ~ see if you can snake a seat last minute or just skip it all together.

You won't have any problems in mid-Sept unless it's the weekend. Head up the hill about 30 minutes before the show. Don't sit close to the stage unless you don't mind getting wet. There are THOUSANDS of seats in this theater and unless you are directly behind a pole, most have decent views.
