I will be using a scooter. Is there a designated spot to watch and if so can my family be in the area

Will you be reserving a dining package or trying for standby? Either way, there is scooter parking. The concern is that it fills up very quickly/early for standby.

There are three Fantasmic dining packages. You eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant and receive a ticket to return for reserved seating on the waterfront. Guests in dining package seating generally sit on the ground. Scooters are in the back row at the top of a slight incline. Your family can sit in front of you or stand next to you (note, Fantasmic is 27 minutes). If you are doing a dining package for the first show, you can stay in your seats for the fireworks show that immediately follows Fantasmic. Guest who are seated are asked to stand for fireworks. While I'm sure your view of the fireworks will be okay from your scooter, once everyone stands, I'm not sure if you will be able to see the projections on the water screens on Rivers of America.

The three dining packages are at
Blue Bayou $89 pp - seats are center stage
River Belle $58 - seats are to the right of Blue Bayou
Rancho del Zocalo $35 - seats are to the left of Blue Bayou

We are not doing a dining package. Just asking if there is a viewing area for people in wheelchairs and scoters

Where is the scooter seating for Fantasmic? Are their spots for those accompanying the person in the scooter?

Below is a map of the Fantasmic seating. The waterfront areas is divided into Rancho del Zocalo (RdZ), Blue Bayou (BB) and River Belle (RB). The arrow is pointing to a thin strip where scooter/ECV/wheelchair standby is located. I don't have personal experience with scooter standby, but someone in a previous thread said that there is very limited space in that area. Based on previous posts, I don't think an entire family can stay in that area.

Here is a picture from a recent Fantasmic show. You can see the ECVs, scooters, and wheelchairs in a roped off area in front of the petrified wood. It looks like one family member is standing directly behind each wheeled device. The rest of the people are general standby.

At $35, I think your best bet is to get RdZ reserved seating. It will be much less of a headache.

One more piggy back question. Is there ANY place to sit for those who can not stand for the entire show nor able to sit on the ground (its the getting back up that is the issue)? Other than crossing fingers on a RBT premium package? I do okay with walking but standing in one place for an extended period of time

No. the only seats are in the dining package area and are on the ground. If you have a dining package, you can stand in the back row by the ECV. Since everyone in front of you is seated, it is a good view. While you are waiting for the show to start, you can stand, sit or go back and forth. It is during the show (27 min), that you need to commit to sitting or standing. For fireworks, everyone is asked to stand.

Pic of ECV on far right (underlined in blue) in dining package area. That's the standing area.

We were there in July. They do allow family members. They just ask them to stand behind the wheelchairs. I don’t know if there is a party size limit or not. It actually wasn’t very crowded at all in the area when we went, but I’m sure it varies. If you’re going at a time when there are two Fantasmic showings, you can always do the second showing if the first one fills up before you get there. It does certainly save money, and while the view is far to the side, it’s still good! If you plan on seeing the fireworks right afterwards from the Fantasmic viewing area, though, unfortunately in the standby wheelchair area,, you can’t see the projection and fireworks at the same time, and fireworks are blocked by trees. Have a great trip!!

Thank you! I wasn't sure about the protocols and it doesn't look like much space.

Not sure if this is still an option, but dining package guests can ask to sit in the Harbor Galley dining area if sitting on the ground and standing in the back are not going to work. The family (4 adults) behind us in line for our viewing area (RBT) was allowed to sit at a table. The view isn't the best, but at least there are chairs.

Yes, that is still available. There are limited seats. It is only for dining package guests and is first come, first served.
