If you buy the tickets for the special seating & treats...is the water seating better or the gallery balcony?

And is it really 1.5 hrs long? It states 9-10:30pm on the site....

Ok - Just called they said the balcony seating is no longer available, it's been made into a suite?

The Balcony seating closed with the Gallery on August 1. So, now only Riverside seating is available.

Fantasmic is not 1.5 hours long. It's about 25 minutes long or so.

I think maybe what you're reading are the show times for Fantasmic.

Oh, I wanted to add that the suite being built is part of The Year of a Million Dreams promotion. After it's finished, everyday one lucky family/person/couple will randomly get picked to spend a magical night in the suite. Should be very cool!

We love the balcony seating, not only is it a time to sit and relax, you get the dessert buffet and you also get to watch hundreds of people trying to video tape the show on their cell phones! It is an awesome show!

From trip reports I've read here recently, it is not a buffet anymore, but each person gets a box of cookies and things like that, which is good, but not like a buffet would be.

Adding...it wouldn't be worth it for US, b/c I doubt that any of us could eat $59 worth of cookies (and we're vegetarian so the Mickey rice krispie treats (made with marshmallow) are not on our menu), especially not the 3 year old. Not worth it to us... Of course there's the seating, but since I haven't seen F I don't know the value of THAT for me yet. :)

Make sure you check in early to get the best seats... You can actaully cahck in then go have a nice dinner then come back for your great seats, desert and show very nice night.

If all you get is a box of cookies I'm not impressed. It really IS a neat show to see, I just hate having to "camp" out spots & stay there waiting....not sure DS will still be awake by then either, I'd hate if he fell asleep after I paid all that cash!!

I think they have a chocolate covered strawberry or two in the box too. So it just isn't cookies, but still for that price, it wouldn't be worth it for us.

We usually will go to the second showing of Fantasmic. When everyone gets up from the first show we rush in and get front row seats. It is a bit late for little ones. When my son was smaller he would just sleep until the show started!

Hi All,

I tried it when it was the buffet and it was fabulous :cloud9: but I have to say even without the buffet I would do it again :cheer2: as a matter of fact we are going to do it again when we go in December:santa: .

The show is so awesome :wizard: and having seats and not having to fight the crowd is worth every penny to me:grouphug: . I heard that what they give you in the box is pretty good popcorn:: plus you get drinks as well:thumbsup2 , and they have anything from soda to hot chocolate just no alcohol of course:angel: and for the little ones they get a sundae in a commerative DL bowl:woohoo: .

This show is one of my favorites:love: and I will pay the prices everytime for comfort:) .

I know that you pick up the tickets at guest relations, but where do you check in at??

I've read here that you check in at the seating area, something like 2 hours before the show. Only one person needs to check in (or so I've read) with all the tickets.

I forgot about the drinks, thank you for reminding me!

I loved the balcony seating, and would gladly pay for those seats.

I did decide to try the premium seating this time, simply because I'm traveling with 2 young children and my mother who is partially handicapped. I don't want to have to worry about staking out a seat early and finding a place where we can all sit with a stroller and an ECV so this was 'insurance' so to speak

We will be booking a night for fantasmic. We think it will be worth it for us having a 3.5 year old and not having to camp out hours before hand. Also we are hoping to get the first showing be able to stick around to see the fireworks while still in the seats.... That is the plan at least:thumbsup2

I actually got there to check in about 2 1/2 before so at 630 for a 900pm show. I was 1st in line so i got the best seats (cast member will show you on a map).
I checked in next to i believe was a drink cart or pop corn stand but all you have to do is ask.

I think this was great over all im sure the buffet was excellent but we got a huge box of goodies and as many drinks as we liked.

ENJOY IT!!!!

Just check in and go have a great dinner at BB then back for the show!!!

Thanks for the advice on getting there EARLY!! My mom hasn't been to DL since my sister and I were in junior high school and for her b-day, we are taking her with us for a weekend trip. The premium seating for fantasmic will be an extra surprise for her.. I can't wait!!

What day are you going to the show? time?

We will be there on 12/1 at the 9pm showing. I have my phone alarm set for 11/1 @ 8am to make the reservations... My boys don't even know about the surprise weekend trip with Grandma. All they know is that we are taking her for the day with an extra parkhopper that we have. If I were to tell them about the surprise they wouldn't be able to hold it in and eventually tell my mom.

Is it true that you can stay for the fireworks show if you go to the first showing of fantasmic??
