How long have folks found they have had to wait mid-August for Fantasmic to get a seat? Thank you for any information! I'm trying to decide if I want to do the Fantasmic package, or just wait for seats.

I'd like to know, too. At present, I am NOT doing the package (this would be the third week of August on a Sunday night - which is EMH night as of this moment!)

Count me in as curious as well. We are going at the end of August. If the estimated wait is an hour or less we will probably pass on the dinner package.

We have both done the package and not done the package, both times mid-August. The time we did not do the package i thought was better. We chose to go to MGM purely for Fantasmic that evening, this meant that we had already showered and changed and felt nice n fresh. We arrived at MGM about 2 hours before the show and wandered around a little. We went to get seats about 1-1/2 hours before show time and took our gameboy with us (we are both 27 no kids!!), but to be honest the atmosphere is great and I love to people watch. You should note at this time, there were still hundreds of seat left, we were just being cautious. We got way better seats without the package as the package seats are in a cretain section, this year we are going again without the package. Can't wait, hope this helps y'all. PM me if you have any more questions about this.

Thanks! You've sold me. Game Boy and a book it is! I wanted to go to the Prime Time cafe, which isn't on the Fantasmic package.

We didn't bother eating at the restaurants either. There are lots of snack foods to eat while you wait as I can recall. Foods like soft pretzels, lemonade slushies etc. We also people watched and talked and enjoyed the scenery. We got there about 90 minutes before and really the time went by fast. There were bathrooms close by so if you had to go, you can just take turns so that you don't loose your seats. Bring a sweater in case it gets chilly or at least you can sit on it if your bottom starts to hurt. Have fun!!
