Fantasmic Time Change - December

I have an ADR for 4:20pm on Dec 11 for Mama Melroses (Fantasmic Package).

The problem is my DW received a call from MGM (while I was out of town). They said the show was changed from 7 to 6:30 and wanted to know if we wanted to reschedule our ADR. My DW didn't know what to do, so the man said we could call back. When I called WDW-DINE, they had no idea what I was talking about and finally after talking to 3 people, they gave me a number to call. I called and left a message and received a call the next day. In the end we kept our 4:20 ADR with the advise to arrive at 4 and hope to get an early table.

My q is if we are seated at 4:20, does this leave enough time (1 hr and 40 min.) to eat at a leasurly pace and get to the theater for the 6:00 required time. AND Did anyone else have this issue?

Any thoughts.

That very close. I don't think you are going to make it.

I had a Sci-Fi ADR at 6:30p with Fantasmic at 8:00p and we were still in the restaurant at 8:00p eating.

You would want to get to Fantasmic at least by 6:00p, even earlier for a better seat so that doesn't leave much time for eating. MM is a kind slow paced meal, IMHO. Will probablly take at least 1 1/2 hours and maybe longer.

If you still want to go for it, I'd arrive 3:45p - 3:50p because for all meals at WDW you should arrive at least 20 minutes beforehand to just get seated on time (if you are lucky) but if you want to get seated even earlier, I'd get there earlier than 4:00p but thats just me.

I would call and ask to speak with someone in guest relations because they can either switch your ADR time or give you tickets for 2nd show that evening. They called us too to see if we wanted to swith ADR time (our ADR is for 4:30) I told him I didn't want to change ADR so he told me when we got there to go to guest relations and there would be 4 tickets for Fantasmic 8:00 show there for us.

The same thing happened to us .. we originally had a Fantasmic Dinner Package ADR for 4:30pm on 12/12 ... but then I got the call that Fastasmic was changed to 6:30pm, so we needed to change our ADR ... I asked what was the latest ADR I could have because I'm not thrilled with eating dinner too much earlier and the CM said that we really shouldn't make it for any later than 4:10pm (but of course that wasn't available for us, so I had to take a 3:50pm anyway) ... so I think that you're fine with your 4:20pm ADR and just plan on arriving around 4PM as suggested anyway ... Also, I don't know if you were told the same thing, but I was told that because of the Fantasmic change, we wouldn't be able to pick up our Fantasmic Vouchers at Mama Melrose like usual, instead we need to pick them up at Guest Relations ... my call also came directly from MGM, so that's why I think WDW-DINE couldn't help you ...

I am in the same situation but did not receive any call. I have a 4:20pm res for 11/18 and according to the Disney website the fantasmic shows are at 6:30pm and 8pm. I called today to inquire and the CM told me there was plenty of time with a 4:20pm res and that only people with later times who might not make it are being called. I bet that since my res is for Thanksgiving week there are no other times they can offer me.

I guess I will wait a few more days and if I don't get a call I will call guest relations.

Our ADR is 4:50 on Nov. 30th at H & V- Fantasmic at 6:30 and 8pm. I called because I don't see how we can make the 6:30 show. They told me not to worry about it they come to the restaurant and take people there straight to the show a different way? Has anyone ever heard of that? I asked about getting tickets to the 8 show but was told they don't have any packages for second shows
