Fantasmic Thread!

Out of curiosity, what time did you arrive to claim a spot on the Pirates bridge (and did you get front railing on the bridge)? Were you in the area after fireworks already?
We watched fireworks from SWGE and then walked quickly to the bridge. We arrived around 9:50 and the front was already full. We stood behind people that looked short. This was last Friday when the park was packed. When passing through Frontierland, my suggestion would be to stay to the left as if you are going to exit out of Adventureland and enter the bridge from the Adventureland side. That is the direction they are directing traffic and, if you stay to the right, you get blocked in Frontierland by the roped off standby area.

We were not at the Millennium Falcon, but were at #2 on the map here. It wasn't crowded in that section and it was an easy exit to Fantasmic. https://www.disboards.com/threads/b...-at-galaxys-edge.3948544/page-2#post-65570970

The people in front of us said that they were standing by Cafe Orleans for fireworks and then walked up to the bridge immediately after fireworks.

Thank you!

if you could choose: Blue Bayou Package or River Belle Terrace Premium Package?
Are you asking which one people would pick?

Personally, I would choose Blue Bayou. I don't mind sitting on the ground and prefer being center stage and on the water front. Blue Bayou as a restaurant is more of a unique setting than River Belle. The big reason to choose River Belle Premium is if you don't want to sit on the ground.

I agree, to me, it comes down to whether or not you're ok with sitting on the concrete. I like the food and ambience better at BB and the view from that area will be better. However, if you don't want to sit on the ground River Belle Premium is the only way to go, unless you're doing a VIP tour. I've done RB Premium before and, although the view is not as good as from the BB area, we were happy with our view. Farther away, but more comfortable and you have a table, which is nice if you're having a drink or something after dinner.

I chose Blue Bayou for the better food and ambiance, and the better view for the show. I also didn't want to sit for over 2 hours at Riverbelle in their Premium seating.

The menu and the setting of BB is more interesting to me, but I feel not having to sit on the ground is worth to consider...decisions decisions :)

The one that includes food you would enjoy the most.
Well, that point goes to BB.

Another point for Blue Bayou

Once when reservations open, hopefully one of both is available...we will be satisfied with whatever we get

I have done BB package a few times. You also realize that you have to check in at the area at 8pm and you have to sit in the ground for 1 hour before the show starts.

I am doing the RB premium package in August. I usually eat at BB twice every trip for the food and atmosphere.

I like that the RB you don’t waste time. You check in at 715. Table are reassigned by the time stamp you booked your reservation.

Both BB and RB Premium sell out quickly, but for RB Premium, it is within a minute or two. There are just so few seats available and it is for one show only.

Up thread, someone posted that they were offered a Fantasmic dining package when they dined with a regular BB reservation. They may have started offering the Fantasmic dining packages upon request once you are seated at your table. If so, that means that any BB reservation will work. Note: I have only read of one person being offered the dining package this way, so it is safer to book the Fantasmic package from the start.

For the waterfront dining package seating, you can stand until just before the show starts. If you have more than one person in your party, they can save your seat while you leave, walk around, go to the restroom, pick up snacks, etc. and then re-enter the roped off area. We usually take turns leaving the area. While I like to get there early, many in this thread have shared that arrived closer to a half hour before show time and were pleased with their seats.

Is anyone else having trouble checking different days for the F! dining packages? Once I choose a party size and date, the website offers me a choice of packages (e.g. RDZ first show, RBT second show), but then it wants me to select a package, time, etc. One time I was able to refresh the page and view Edit buttons for party size and date, but the other times, the Edit buttons have quickly disappeared. I could try deleting cookies, but for pity's sake, I shouldn't have to.

What’s up with Fantasmic week of august 26? We are in park 27-29 and weekdays that week are all crossed off as unavailable-only dates like that k see all summer.

F! might not be running Monday through Thursday but just Friday through Sunday.
But keep checking.

Booked a F! BB for August 31st (1st show). I did this at 6am and the times were disappearing by 6:02a when I finalized everything. We originally did the BB experience back when it first opened but when food quality plummeted we transitioned to RBT (worse food and off putting location for us despite the seat) and then settled on Hungry Bear for several trips. I've been back to BB more recently and the food was better so we are giving it another chance. Happy to see the updated show as it opened two days after our last trip in May.

It's been a few years since I booked River Belle Premium Package....last time I booked I had to call in.

What is the best way to book now? 6am PST on the booking day or do you still call in?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I would use your phone or pc...make sure you are logging on 10 minutes before 6AM PST....I would practice a few times to get the hang of itt. I tried both the app and on pc...the app is faster on the phone....a minute before start practicing and keep going when it changes to 6 am pounce and go...The premium sells out in less than 1 minute!

Got it. Thanks!

For those who had a RDZ dining package, were you able to arrive at the restaurant later than your reservation time?

I just tried it from my computer and had the same issue, but using the app I'm able to just use the back arrow at the top left to change date, etc.
