Fantasmic Thread!

Limited to the Fantasmic brunch menu.
We didn't try to order off the menu -- probably should have asked.

Food was good.
App: Soup and meatballs were very good.
Entree: Cuban was good; breakfast was standard fare; Big chicken was good; loaded fries were very good.
Dessert : both were WAY too sweet. cobbler was tolerable with the icecream and granola mixed.

Drinks: soft drinks/coffee/ice -- no mud pie.
I really want to do a Fantasmic Dining Package but am struggling with what is on offer. Rancho's menu has nothing on it that my adult autistic daughter would eat but I think she may like the chicken at Riverbelle. She only likes plain foods and nothing too loaded as texture is a real problem. Was the Big chicken fairly plain?

My adult daughter had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich and said it was bland. You can probably ask for the cole slaw on the side and just have chicken and bread.

The Big Belle sandwich was very saucy and spicey.

Thanks so much for that. She is okay with coleslaw so I think the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich sounds like it would be fine. I think we will stay away from the Big Belle none of our party like hot and spicy food. Thanks for letting me know.

Can ask for everything on the side.

Our son has mod asd and did the breakfast without issues.

This may be a stupid question, but I've never been to DL before. Do all of the Fantasmic dining packages reserved areas let you be seated during the show or just some of them? We booked the Rancho del Zocalo package and one person in our party is pregnant. I was hoping she would be able to sit during the show.

Zocalo, Blue Bayou and River Belle standard dining allow you to sit on the ground. If you want a seat, choose River Bell Premium where you will eat dinner and watch Fantasmic from your table at the restaurant.

Edit to add photos:

In the map below, the teal area is where the majority of the show takes place. The blue area is where standard dining packages sit. The left side of the blue area is for Zocalo, the middle is for Blue Bayou and the right side is for River Belle. On the map, you can see that I circled the patio of River Belle Terrace in red. That is where the River Belle Premium packages sit.

Dining packages allow you sit --- on the concrete ground. no seats. bring a cushion of somesort.

If you book a dining package you will get to sit. Without you will likely be required to stand.
Thank you all for the information! That is what I needed to know!

I am here at Disneyland with my 9-year-old son to watch Fantasmic tonight. So excited!!! Fantasmic is my absolute favorite Disney show!

Man, it is PACKED today. A little miserable in places like bathrooms and walkways. It just occurred to me that today is the last day for people to use up their three-day tickets if those had the weekday-only tickets so maybe that accounts for some of the crowds. Lots of grads and younger “grads” (elementary age) here too.

We did the Rancho Del Zocalo Fantasmic dining package today. I ended up getting my son the adult plate for $35 versus the kids plate for $25 because he really wanted the carne asada. I wish that was an option for the kids meal, maybe they will add it at some point. He didn’t want the sides touching his steak and they were very patient accommodating that. Anyway, he loved the steak but did not eat any of the sides as I expected.

I ended up ordering the shrimp tacos. This is three soft, corn tortilla tacos, each with two good-sized shrimp. I didn’t want beans so I got two servings of cilantro lime rice and the potato salad.

Magic Key discounts apply so our meals were $30 each. For me, it’s a great deal due to the large amount of food. For my child, less so since he didn’t eat anything but the steak.

I thought my shrimp tacos were really good! The Korean flavors are great and it’s a large portion. They are pretty spicy. There are two sauces and I suspect one is Korean gochujang, which has a lot of kick. They were not too spicy for me but I can see how they might be too spicy for some people. There’s also some kind of slaw that seems to have cilantro, raddish, onion and maybe something else? Kimchi? Hard to say. But tasty!

The cilantro lime rice was just OK, a little dry, a little bland. I didn’t have the beans but the women next to me said they were spicy.

The potato salad was the real sleeper hit! It looks weird, it sounds weird, but it was delicious! Light, flavorful, fresh … loved it!

We haven’t eaten our cake yet. We got a to-go container and took it with us to eat later.

Thank you for the report. You are the second person that commented on how good the potato salad is. I wonder if I can get double potato salad and no beans. 🤔

Have fun tonight! Hope that cake is good. Our desserts were way too sweet at river belle formour palates . Carne asada looks very yummy, and same with our son....no contamination....dry. any sauce results in a no-go meal

They let me sub rice for beans, bet they would let you sub potato salad if you ask. They were very nice and accommodating!

@SOCALMouseMommy are you waiting in line for Fantasmic seating? If so, are there any signs, tape on the ground or CM around to help?
We got the Harbor Galley around 8:30. No line and we walked right into the RDZ seating area. Plenty of space left though now it’s pretty full. We went as far to the right as we could (closer to the BB section).
