Fantasmic then LAX on time?

We'll be there for President's Week and Fantasmic that we could watch is Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Friday. Crowds are high for Saturday-Monday, lowest for Friday. Fantasmic for Friday is 9:05 and 10:15; our flight leaves 11:55PM(midnight) from LAX.

I'm shooting for 2 days; either Monday(President's Day, busy) and Tuesday, or a mid-week day and Friday(flight day as well as Fantasmic).

What are your thoughts, and if I do Friday, what are my chances for catching the midnight flight home?

Fantasmic 9:05PM then flight leaves 11:55 PM.

I'd say very little chance for the Friday night Fantasmic ... travel time out of the park ... hunting for car in parking lot ... freeway traffic trying to make it to LAX ... and then all the time getting through the airport, itself. I'd guess you would be much more likely to miss the flight than to make it!

Idk... But i would guess not good. Ive been told to be 2 hours early and to plan 1.5 drive time

Dont risk it. What happens if your flight time changes and leaves earlier? Then you are really shorting yoruself on time. Besides traffic into LA in the evening can be brutal.

I wouldn't risk it. F! goes at 9:05, done by 9:30ish: now you're fighting fireworks crowd to get out. You'll probably be back at your car around 10. If everything goes smoothly getting to LAX (no traffic, no security stops), you would get there about 10:45, which is barely an hour before your flight leaves the gate (and there's always traffic getting there, even early in the morning), and I doubt LAX has short security lines.

Then Fantasmic would be done during President's Day Weekend. Is it safe to assume most would do the Saturday and Sunday, and I should go for doing Monday night?

I agree with the other posters....no way would I chance it unless you're OK with missing your flight. Friday night traffic in LA can be heinous and it's taken me 2 hours to get from Anaheim to LA in the past.

I am guessing after watching the 9PM fantasmic, with the traffic patterns in the park (you are not allowed to walk any direction - you have to go the way they direct you), get on a tram or walk to the parking lot, get out of the parking lot and get on the highway - you would probably be lucky to be on the 5 by 11PM...

No matter what day you go, the second show is almost always less crowded. Just go in right after they let the crowds out from the first show, get settled, then send ONE member of your party to get snacks and drinks Holding places for more than that wont work out very well.

Where are your bags? Add in time to get your bags. Return a rental car at LAX? Park a car at LAX?

As for which day during President's weekend... it's a "crystal ball" question. It is not safe to assume anything. I believe that Monday night will be the least crowded (people from out of town have left to return home for Tuesday work/school/whatnot), but that is just my opinion. Find the night that works best in your schedule and roll with it.
