Fantasmic! Superthread - Or Everything You Need To Know About Fantasmic at Disneyland

In my point of view, if I am allowed to have one, since this is a forum, yes, disney made throw it away by creating a FP option that is of no use.

I'm confused too... DisneyLAND doesn't use FPs for Fantasmic... You just go find a place to sit, unless you mean WOC? And those FPs don't take away from you getting another one for a ride.

Seated here waiting for the F! Show, one hour in advance and minutes after going through the usual hell to be seated, I feel really stupid and scamed by Disney, who made me throw one of my very escarse FP+ in the garbish!

Hi - sorry but I think you are on the wrong board. This one is for Disneyland and this post pertains to Fantasmic at Disneyland which does not require a FP or FP+. However, WDW does use FP+ for the Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. You can find that board here

Does anyone know if Fantasmic is only on the weekends in FEB? Is it just FRI/SAT/SUN? What about presidents day week? TIA.

One quick question, if I go to line up at 6 for the desert package, how do I know where to go? Will there be a sign that says F!?

I just purchased tickets for Monday Feb 17th and all she told me was to get there at around 8, which I know is wrong from this great thread!

So at 6 pm will I be able to find a sign to know where to line up? Thanks.

We lined up at 6 but the sign wasn't up yet. I asked a CM in the area and they pointed out where the line usually forms. Then I asked anyone in the area looking like they were looking for the line what they were looking for and told them we were the line. Pretty soon someone came by and put up the actual sign. It was very near the churro cart by the HM exit.

I dont know if this was answered or explained yet, I skipped to the last page... But I have heard this question asked alot both at disneyland and on forum boards, the blooming flowers in the show are actors in costumes, they are not mechanical flowers, I met a actor about 4 years ago who is now a flower at Disney Worlds Fantasmic and they actually have multiple roles in the show, I was told one of the flowers was also a pirate on the Columbia which was pretty cool to know

Almost every performer in Fantasmic! has 3-4 roles in the show.

I know the answer is here somewhere, but I keep jumping around the thread and can't find it :confused3. We are going to do F! second show on Sunday, Feb 23 (not a holiday weekend). So, I know we need to be somewhere in the area after the first show ends. Where is the best place to wait and then where should we go for best viewing--we are both fairly short adults. Thank you!

The OP covers both of these. You may want to read it again. The answer depends.

If you want to get a good spot for F! and you are not watching the fireworks before, one good option is to hang out by HM or Splash during the first show and come into the F! area from the west after the first show finishes. Almost everyone heads towards Main Street after F! so you will have access to some good spots. The CMs will hold you back so they can clean up, and many guests will stay in their spots and watch fireworks. But the crowds will be less on the west. On the east side the crowds will be much bigger.

As for spots, the sitting area is pretty good. About 10 feet back from the rail.

Thanks Hydroguy--that really helps! When you say OP you mean the original post on this thread? So I should go back to the beginning and read through it.

Yep. Just the first one. It has all the info you need.

Does anyone know where in the park I can find the Fantasmic soundtrack? They used to sell it at the cart by Cafe Orleans. I checked the music store on Main Street. No go. Has anyone seen it? I hope it's not out of print.

Thanks :)

I would check out the World of Disney store or Off the Page store in DCA at Hollywood Land. I have seen the CD in those stores in the past and maybe it might be there.

We are going to be seeing Fantasmic next Sunday () and are planning to see the later (10:30) show. In the OP, it mentions taking the Railroad from Main Street to New Orleans Square after the fireworks, in order to help avoid the rush of people leaving after the first show. However, I thought I read somewhere that the RR shuts down shortly before the fireworks and stayed closed for the remainder of the night. Can anyone clarify that for me?

I think we're going to watch Magical from Main Street near the Adventureland entrance, if anyone has tips on best ways to make it over to the viewing area from there.

You can catch the DLRR if you do so at the right time before the fireworks begin. After fireworks I do believe the DLRR opens up again until park closing.

DH and I are planning to do the dessert seating in August for our anniversary and will leave the kids with a babysitter at DLH. Assuming the first show is 9pm, should we book the babysitter for 6pm? Will this give us enough time to get from DLH to the area where we line up for seat assignments, or should we have the sitter come at 5:30? If we stay to watch fire works, would we be back before 10:30?

The answer to this question depends on what seats you want for Fantasmic. As the OP outlines, guests arrive for seat assignments any time between 6 and 8PM. So "yes" you will have time to get there by 8PM if you do not mind which seats you get.

If we stay to watch fire works, would we be back before 10:30?
Should be. Fireworks would generally be over by 9:50. It will be crowded and slow going getting out of DL at that point but you should easily make it back to DLH by 10:30 if you go straight there.
