I see that they have the Fantasmic show every night at 9. I've never seen it, but it looks like there is outside seating. Do you need to line up really early? How does it work? Someone talked about eating at a restaurant first. Can you see it from a restaurant or standing somewhere? Do you need a seat? Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the DIS. Fantasmic! is the best show going at WDW. Depending on the time of year you are going, guests start to line up 1.5 - 2 hours prior to the show and the stadium holds 14,000(?) guests. It still can be standing room only at times. We like to get the Fantasmic dinner package which allows us to eat at one of 3 MGM restaurants and then guarantees us a seat in the stadium on the right hand side. All the seats are great for viewing.

There is a restuarant package you eat and then are reserved a seat for the show. You can't see the show from any restuarant. We always get there 45 minutes before the show starts to get a good seat. I've heard during peak times of year it fills to capcity and people are turned away. It's a great show and worth the wait.

The time of year you go will greatly affect how far in advance you need to arrive to get a seat. Disney says about 90 minutes early. I've found during quiter seasons-- this isn't the case and we've pushed it to about 20 minutes. However, no matter what the season, I've never seen that place not packed. If you're going in the next few weeks (while the crowds are at peak level)-- you'll want to probably go a good 60-90 minutes early.
The Fantasmic dinner package is an option. This will guarantee you a seat, and reduce your waiting time at the show.

Great advise up above, Its a great show I highly recommend it!! Dh and I enjoyed it just as much as our kids!!! Its a MUST SEE!!!

We visit in early June and we have waited 2 hours to see Fantasmic. Depending on when you are visiting there may be 2 shows offered on the same night--go to the second show--it will be less crowded and you won't have to line up at all :flower:

How do you book the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg?

Just call Disney dining and book a priority seating. Just tell them you want to do the Fantasmic dinner package. There are three restaurants to choose from. I think the number is 407-WDW-DINE. We did the dining package a couple of weeks ago and at ate Hollywood & Vine and they gave us a voucher for Fantasmic seating at dinner.

I agree. This really is a MUST DO! it is always a highlight of our holiday.

It would be easier to give more information if you let us know when you are going Brook106.

We almost always visit in early May (as we are this year) and we get excellent seats entering about an hour before the show (right in the middle and a little way back away from the water mist). But with the 50th celebration beginning in May most people are not certain about the attendance level this year compaired to average.

One thing I would recommend is going to the 8:30pm show (if one of your days have this time) so that the Illuminations at EPCOT does not 'overlap' with Fantasmic.

Paul.
