Hello , I was hoping someone might be able to give me some info re: Fantasmic standing room, I will be at MGM on 11-30-05, and would love to see the show, I dont mind standing for the show, but I was wondering if I still need to arrive real early if I choose to stand, also how is the view from this area? Any help is greatly recieved...thanks..

My DH and I saw Fantasmic standing and it was great. As you're walking to the seating area, there is an elevated area with a bar on your left, try and get in the front row and you'll do fine.

No, my bf and I walk in about 15 mins before it starts and get a spot to stand in - best part is, you are the first to walk out so you don't get stuck in the mob of people.

Just make sure you don't have kids with you- it'll be almost impossible for them to see anything. Also remember that sometimes people forget to play nicely. My sister, who uses a wheelchair at WDW, was sitting watching the show when some guy stood his small child on the handles of her wheelchair. When she politely asked him to remove the child, he had a fit about all the money he'd paid and what difference does it make, etc. I guess the SRO section can get a little...agitated...sometimes!

I doubt that showing will be very busy. You can tell by how busy the park is that day. If it is packed, you should arrive early. If it is pretty empty, then you can have a bit more time in the park first

Thanks, I will have my 2 grandchildren, so I will have to keep that in mind...

Was that recently?
It has happened to my DD - she has a headrest on her wheelchair and someone stood their small child on her headrest. (So, the child kept kicking DD in the head). The man (?pretended he) did not speak English and would take the child off when we told him, but as soon as we turned back to watch the show, he put her right back up there.
That was quite a few years ago though. The last 3 years when we have gone, they did not allow anyone to stand behind the last row. The CM maintained a clear walking area behind the last row and there was a Standing Room only space in a raised area behind the walking area. Anyone who stopped in the walking area was moved along by the CMs.
