If there are two scheduled performances of Fantasmic, is the second show much less crowded?

In general, yes. Unless it's New Year's Eve or another special situation.

I agree, it usually is much less crowded. And the lines for rides like RnR and ToT disappear during the first show. I like to do rides during the first and see the second.

gotta agree. Most people will try to see the first show, then head out of the park

If there are two shows scheduled it is always easier to get into the 2nd one. You don't need to get there as early to get a decent seat. But the theater does usually fill up by show time.

Go for the second one. There's no point in trying to cram in with the other thousands of people that go to the first one. Second one's always less crowded, and if there's a third show offered, then stick around for that one. Why bother watching the first show from standing room, when an hour later, you can be watching it from a seat?

I'm sure the second show is less crowded but we like to sit down early (45 minutes) eat dinner and relax. We went to the second show last August and there was a line all the way up to the main street. I guess it takes time to clear out the first show. The thing that made me crazy was once I got close enough to see the entrance all the people that think they deserve priority over all mankind were just walking in the entrance without waiting in line. I pointed out to one family that maybe they didn't notice but the line was down the road. They apologized and cut in 15 ft. behind us.

We only did 2nd show once but it didn't work as well for us.

When have they had three shows at MGM? I can only recall two...

July 4th, New Years Eve and other very crowded days

Do you recall if they do three shows Christmas day.

This year Christmas is on a Sunday. Sunday is typically an evening Extended Magic Hour for DS.

Would they have two showings of Fantasmic and Extra Magic Hours on the same night?
