My daughter is pretty easily scared by villainous characters. Will she get nightmares from Fantasmic?

Tough to say. It's loud, there's fireworks. The dragon at the end may be scary but it has a happy ending with all the heroes and heroines celebrating. I'd recommend having her watch it on youtube and see how she reacts.

It can be scary to young children. You know your child, so i'd suggest you watch it online before you go and see if it is something you think they would be able to handle. There are some loud noises, fireworks arent typically scary but there is a canon shot that makes most people jump. The Evil Queen is a normal size person and her portion isn't super scary, but Maleficent can be a bit scarier and the of course, the dragon, which is larger and breathes fire.

I third the recommendation to watch it on Youtube (or similar) and then see how your daughter reacts. Remember, F! will be more intense in person because the sounds are louder, it's dark outside, things are bigger, etc. I agree that the dragon is probably the scariest part, but there are also very large mist screen projections of several villains (complete with intense/ominous music) that might also scare children. I do know that some folks have reported back that there children were scared, while others said it was fine, so it really varies by child.

Honestly, with the loud noises, the sudden bursts of fire, and the dragon, I was a little startled myself! We'll totally be skipping it with our grandsons until they are older, as I don't want them scared of it!
