We are looking at booking the fantasmic dessert w/ seating. I read somewhere that just by booking you are not given like a seat # you are really just paying for the dessert. You get a seat but in order to get like a front row you need to get in line early. Is this true? Is it worth the price? We are going as a party of 9 ( 6 adults and 3 kids) so it is very expensive and we were wondering if it worth the price.

I don't remember if we got a number last year, I remember handing the CM the tickets and we waited for a bit other people arrived and finally we were escorted in and were told to sit in the first row. We were a party of 8, it was expensive but well worth it. The prior year when we were in DL we didn't see the show just the huge crowds but after reading posts on this site we decided to give it a try and wow, it is the only way to watch Fantasmic!

I have heard but not sure this is true.. That you can get there early and save a place and then come back about 15 mins before the show starts to order your drinks and what not.

Yes this is true, you aren't given a seat until you sign in. You'll want to sign in as early as you can so you can pick your seats, if you're not early you may be sitting behind tall heads, trees, poles or fences. They no longer offer the balcony seating (they had the good desserts) and the desserts you get for the riverside seating is just a bunch of finger snacks. Like rice krispie treats. You get free drinks (soda, hotchocolate etc.) and are guarenteed a chair. Some people think it's worth it, some people don't. It's not cheap, I think we paid 54$ last year per person. It may have gone up or down since then.
