Fantasmic Return/Dining Options

HI.

I know I read on these boards that it looks like F! will return in mid August.
Called Disneyland this AM about reservation. I asked about F! and was told late August to September.
Also was told that the dining option at the Blue Bayou would return as well. Very nice cast member.
He told me the plan was to have F! begin as MSTEM ended but that may not happen.

Any additional info would be appreciated.

No one who has any idea when it's coming back has said anything publicly. If it comes back before MSEP ends then they either will or will not offer BB packages. We won't know anything else until Disney officially says something.

Was the dining option which I never had done always at the Blue Bayou. I have only done the Balcony Dessert Party for F!

Once they went to reserved viewing areas the dining options were BB, RBT (which became TS), Aladdin's Oasis to-go menu and there was briefly a dessert party at Hungry Bear that was discontinued. When F! returns I imagine they'll all return, but if MSEP is still going, there's a chance BB won't be immediate. They could re-introduce some kind of dessert party, but they just started a dessert part in TL, so my guess is no.

Man, I hope Fantasmic! returns before September! They continue to advertise its return as "Summer 2017", and while the beginning of September is technically still summer, I think they should specify late summer if it is indeed not returning until then. I'm sure their intention was for it to return earlier in the summer, but if they know that isn't going to happen, then I wish they would make some sort of announcement/clarification.

Summer season for Disneyland ends in August. Let's Hope F! returns soon!

Even with FP, I don't believe they'll even allow you to wait for 3 hours.

Disney would never set aside the money maker of a dining package!

In the past it was BB front and center. Then on one side was RBT and Aladdin's Oasis. On the other side was Hungry Bear. I don't think HB was a full dessert buffet-instead a prepared plate with a bunch of different desserts. All of those areas had pretty great views. Finally on the outside of those areas were some FP areas, with additional FPs in the back. And a few standing room only areas, but they wouldn't let you collect in those areas much before showtime. It's definitely different than the days of camping our for 3 hours (although that was always nice as we just did a picnic dinner and relaxed after the long day).

There are places you can see Fantasmic without being in the front row and without waiting a long time, as long as you don't mind not having a center view. We often walk up right to the rail between HM and POC just as it's starting and can see from there, even my DDs who at the time were under 5'. It's not perfect but no wait.

I'm not sure when that would have been, so possibly not. The last time we would have seen F! would have been August 2014 since it was closed when we were there last summer. The area I'm thinking of always has a food cart there that we've stood beside. It seems like the food cart has either been closed or has packed up and moved right as F! was starting.

Only thing we are interested in this trip is the BB, ELP, maybe WOC dessert(we have done it before) Small celebration for living so long(71), the train and the boats. very short trip to pay my respects to Walt and Lillian
