Well, hi, I haven't been on the boards much lately, but last April, I tried the reserved seating at Fantastmic and it was AWESOME! You always get a food box with grapes and chocolates, and you also get a drink of your choice! We moved seats, but the ones we moved to were FANTASTIC! The whole show was great, and it was a great experience. Well, just wanted to share this with you guys. :goodvibes

We just did the Fantasmic seating last week and we loved it as well. Just an update check-in started right around 8:00PM. The guy that was first in line, lined up at 5:00PM!!!. I was second and I got in line between 6:30 & 6:40. About 10 minutes later 2 other guys showed up. I would say there was 6 - 7 families in line by 7:00PM. We felt it was definitely worth it for us. We have a 6 year old and my wife is 4 1/2 months pregnant. There was more than enough dessert in the boxes for us. The drinks were unlimited. Daniel our server was great.

Kind of defeats the purpose to have to line up that early to check in! I wish they would reserve the seats by who purchases them first rather than who checks in first. We did the Fantasmic dessert seating once, but didn't know about checking in early and ended up in the back row. It so wasn't worth it. Now I would be willing to try again but I can't justify the price if I have to line up 3 hours early to check in.

Hi!

I got the package for Sept 1 and I was planning to get in line at 7pm. I hope we'll manage to get tickets in the first row. Do you know approx. how many seats they have per row?

Thanks!!!

The wife and I did it a couple of weekends ago and we were in seats 1 and 2. In our section (which was right next to the control booth), there were two sections with 3 rows of 4 chairs. Something like this:

XXXX XXCC
XXXX XXXX
XXXX XXXX

We were in the CC chairs! I think the other sections were pretty similar, but I wasn't looking too closely.

I completely agree. We did this in June and also due to a confusion over the check-in time which had recently time, I felt I wasted alot of our evening lining up for already expensive tickets. We were in the front row but seated between two water screens so it wasn't the best view. Everyone makes a big deal about how the river and boat are so much better at DL but quite honestly, the water screens seemed bigger and more impressive at WDW (and we were seated upper far right there).

Hi all,

We just did the seating last week. :thumbsup2 It said to line up at 7pm on our paperwork. I arrived after 7 and was the 5th person. Most people arrived at 7:30. The actually check-in began just before 8, I think.

The boxes included cheese and crackers, two chocolate truffles, and a bite sized key lime pie, cheesecake, fudge-like brownie thing???, macaroon cookie and chocolate strawberry. Enough food for breakfast the next day.:lmao: It was yummy and lots of fun.

We enjoyed it and felt that it was worth it. :confused3 But that was a choice for our family. If you don't mind taking a break and saving the seats for a couple of hours and sitting on the ground, the seating in the very front middle are probably better.

How do I book it? How many days attend of time do I need to call, and do I need to call immediately when they open? How do I know what dates are available?

Well, you can book 30 days ahead of time. In my case, I called last week for Sept 1 tickets and had no problem getting them. The only way to know which dates are available is to ask the cast member on the phone if your date is available.:thumbsup2

Hi,

Its $59 per adult, $49 per child. The number to call is (714) 781-4400, and you can call up to 30 days in advance.

Can anyone see the show like in Disney World or do you have to reserve the show and pay the fee?

No, the show is free, it's just that it can be VERY crowded at DL, because it's on Rivers of America, and some people start staking out their riverfront spots 3-4 hours ahead. Crazy, no? So they have reserved seating with dessert boxes. Some people say it's worth it, others don't. Here's a thread that shows exactly where it happens, with pictures. If you go back to the beginning of the thread and read it, you'll find all the details, and many opinions as to whether it's highway robbery or a must-do. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1815941&page=4

We did it in March and loved it. Since then, they changed the check-in time from 7 to 8 p.m., and people are still lining up very early to be first to pick good seats, so now I'm not sure I'd want to do it. However, it's academic for me, because F! is going down for refurbishment from 9/2 to 11/06. They are replacing water screens, projectors and lighting.

Hope that helps! :)
