Hello:

We will be visiting WDW 3-12 to 3/21 of this year.

Is Fantasmic! held nightly? If so, do you know what time it starts during this time of year?

WE plan on eating at the Sci-Fi diner beforehand and I want to allow enough time to eat and get a seat.

Thanks a bunch!

I would give yourself approx 1 - 1 1/2 hours to get a good seat. They let you in approx 1 hour before show time but the stadium starts to fill up, so if you want a center seat just know you need to get there early. Now, if there is someone in your party who is willing to sit for you and save your seats while you do something else, do that! My mom did that for us and it was so convenient, I think we came in to sit about 20 minutes before the show started!
Have fun!

It's a great show!
I remember last year in March when I was there, I got packed real quick! When I go again this March, I will allow a little more time. I was more off to the side but the show was still excellent.

Fantasmic! is usually shown at least once a night and during certain times of the year two or three times(July 4th weekend, Christmas week, etc). For a listing of park hours, parade and Fantasmic! times, try http://www.mgmstudios.org/hours

We've booked the Dinner package at H&V for Fantasmic. My kids are 8 and almost 5, but a little more on the timid side. One guide book said it should be fine for kids, the other had it marked as potentially overwhelming.
Anyone have experiences with kids of these ages? I'd really like to give it a try.

My kids are 8,7 and 4. They have seen this show for at least 2 years now and have never been scared by it. It is a wonderful show. As a side note, we were at MGM on the 30th of December. The parks were VERY busy, 3 hour waits for TOT and RnR. There were 3 showings of Fantasmic that evening. The kids and I opted to catch the middle showing, it was at 830pm. We had been at EPCOT and hopped over to MGM at abouty 8pm. There was a LARGE crowd of people waiting to be let into the theater. We decided to get something to eat. At anout 815 we noticed people were going in, we headed in. I was certain that the CMS were going to state that it was standing room only, but that did not happen. Granted we were in the far left section with not my favorite seats, but the show was still great! This was the fullest I have ever seen the theater and I have never understood why people recommend getting there an hour or more early. We usually give it 20 to 30 minutes and never had a problem because of that, even on News Years Eve Eve LOL

My kids loved it. They were 13 and 5 the last time that they saw it. (My kids are also huge Lord of the Rings fans having read the books, played the games and seen the movies, so not a lot scares them.)
