Hello, Happy new year,

A quick Q, We are going to Orlando 1st 2 weeks in May arriving Saturday 3rd.
We are staying onsite, so my Q is we missed Fantasmic last time we visited and would love to do it the first night. i know we are going off peak so does that mean it will not be on? or if it is what time does it usually start?

look forward to hearing from you

Hi

The park hours and events for May 2003 have not been released yet.
Here is a link to the park hours/events, check back a couple of months before you go just to make sure it is on.

WDW Park Hours

Checking out Jan and Feb Fantasmic is due to start 7pm. This is a great show.

Hope this helps you

Just to reiterate what Squitty said, TC and I went in March for the past two years and Fantasmic was on every night of our stay for both years so you will almost definitely get to see it.

You may also want to consider going for the Fantasmic Dinner Package - this entitles you to the Priority Seating Area for the show, which has their own seating area and entrance - by Oscars at the entrance to the park if memory serves.

You can eat at either Brown Derby or Mama Melroses, again if memory serves, and you will be assured of a really nice meal if you choose either of these.

Brown Derby can be a little on the pricey side, though, but the service and the food in Mama Melroses is very reasonable. Plus the service in MM is of a very high standard, in our opinion.

Hope this helps.

As far as I know Fantasmic is not a 'seasonal' thing like Spectromagic, it is a permanent fixture like Illuminations and runs every night unless cancelled due to weather so you will definately get to see it.

As Pete says the dinner package is a great way to do it in style but if you don't opt for this make sure you get there early (about an hour) so that you get a good seat. It gets absolutely packed!!

Debs,

Here is the DIS link to the projected hours for May based on the hours last year. As Sue says, Fantasmic is shown every night, weather permitting.

Thanks everybody,

Thats put my mind at rest, all being well, no delays with the flight and checkin thats where we will be headed our first night. Can't wait.

Thanks Debs for the projected hours too thats really helpful.
