What is the best day for Fantasmic Priority Seating? Fri or sat?
I think I read that with the earlier seating you can keep your seats to watch the fireworks...has anyone done that?

Not so sure there is a difference in the day. Make your PS's and check in early, early, early to pick your seat. Then, you can go play, wander, whatever, and come back to take your spot.

If you have seats for the first show, yes, you can stay in them for the fireworks. The first show ends about 2 minutes before the fireworks show starts.

HTH,

Yup, we did it, and though it's spendy, it was really worth it to us to stay out of the crush of crowds, have a box of delicious snacks and desserts, and have a CM bringing us fresh cups of hot chocolate. It's a great place to view the fireworks, since they pipe in the music and narration there, and although you miss some of the projections on the castle wall and a couple of the low pyrotechnic displays, you have a great view of the rest of it.

I believe check in is now 8 p.m. for the first show? But people line up at 7:15 so they can choose their seats. You only have to send one person to choose the seats, the rest of you can be wandering and riding stuff right up until 8:30 or later, which is when they start seating you for the 9 p.m. show.

Hope that helps!

So, you choose your seats without sitting in them? Or does one person go in and hold several seats? How do you pick your seats exactly once you line up?

You go over to the area by Rivers of America, in front of Haunted Mansion, the steps near the churros cart. They will be setting up behind a roped off area, the raised area in front of the river. A CM will pull out a podium and start taking seat reservations, I think it's at 8 p.m. When you get to her at the front of the line, she will show you a seating chart and which seats are left, and will recommend the best ones still available. Then she writes the seat numbers on the back of your tickets * and you wander off to find your family. Those seats are then assigned to you. When you come back later to be seated, you show your tickets to the CM, and they will show you to your seats.

*your tickets to the F! reserved seating need to be picked up before 5 p.m. the day of the show, I believe. You need them to get your seat assignments. You pick them up at Guest Services outside the turnstiles.

If you show up without choosing seats beforehand, you will just take what is left. There are 4 rows, I think? Usually the view is just fine, if somebody big sits in front of you it's a matter of occasionally leaning to the left or right a bit. But it IS nice to have front row seats, especially with small kids. We had second row, and we thought it was a great view.

Here's an old thread with pictures and more info. You can see what the snack box looks like, and I think it shows the exact area you sit. But it says the old checkin time of 7 p.m.-- as I said, I think it's 8 now?
