Fantasmic package?

In theory, the Fantasmic Dining Packages are available 180-days from you check-in, like most of the others ADRs. In practice, it seems a bit more uncertain. The dates aren't always loaded right away and even things often seem a little messed up. I would keep checking because you should be able to make them now or this week (depending on when you're checking-in).

You can book online. On the reservation page select "dining event" instead of "restaurant".

We are about 90 days from our trip, and for our day at Hollywood Studios, we booked our Fantasmic meal. We were able to get Brown Derby for an early dinner, and go to the only showing of Fantasmic, I believe at 8 PM. It's EMH that night, so we'll still have time to enjoy the park after the show.

We're on the Deluxe Dining Plan, because we didn't want to be restricted on where we could eat and what we could do, since this is our first trip since our honeymoon, 30 years ago!

I did call to make the Fantasmic, as well as the Luau reservations, since I was confused about the credit card guarantee online.

I also tried to do the Cinderella Palace reservation on the phone, but there was no availability. Oh, well, you snooze, you lose!'

I am within my 180+ 10 window and do not see any Fantasmic Dining Plan options available for any time in 2013 at any restaurant. I called and after a 20 minute conversation, the explanation I got was, "keep checking back, it might be a glitch in the system".

The dates are not always loaded and the times offered on-line do not necessarily make sense (i.e., you have to select a show time, but none of the times are actual show times). The CM on the phone was correct, keep checking back because eventually they seem to be corrected. Just note that it may be weeks or months before it's fully fixed.

I too am interested in booking MM Fantasmic package for January and there is none out yet online...for any of January. I may call and try to book it over the phone. I'm wanting to go on 1/28 and that night is EMH for HS...until 9pm. I wrote down that Fantasmic was at 7, but is it 8 that night because of the EMH? What time should I book MM dinner? I was thinking 4:30 for a 7pm Fantasmic...5:30 if it's at 8pm???? Edited to add: Just double checked and Fantasmic is at 7pm that night.

Edited to add: Just called and they could only give me a 3pm or 3:30 pm....that's too early. 4:30 was pushing it. So, no Fantasmic package for us.

Here is a tip for booking Fantasmic for January online: Don't use the drop down calendar to select your date. Instead, manually key in the date you want in this format: 01/02/2013 (or whatever date you want) and the availability will come up.

I may just book dinner at Mama Melrose for around 4:30 and then just go wing it at Fantasmic on our own (no package). I'd like to do Sci-Fi, but my family is not interested.

i just snagged a 3:45 reservation for February but i agree pretty early to eat!
