We are headed down to DLR and it's projected to rain on Friday, and we were hoping to catch Fantasmic! Do they still do it in the rain, or is it usually canceled?? We don't mind a drizzle, but Fri is our only night to catch Fantasmic!

Thanks! :)

No, they won't perform in the rain. It is not safe for the performers.

Hate to rain on your parade, no pun intended, but we have 3 huge storms back to back starting today and going through the weekend maybe that'll make for shorter lines, but expecting a foot of rain, take your rowboat : )

oh no!! I'm going down this weekend too - but Sunday is our only chance of seeing Fantasmic. I hope it doesnt rain :(

It's supposed to clear up...oh shucks I was watching the national news, when I check Disneyland by itself, it clears up for a couple days. Check weather.com.

Oh I hope it clears up :) I have been checking the weather everyday and it keeps changing - Hopefully it changes for the better. Saturday looks good - but that's the day we arrive and it's supposed to be a shopping day. We were planning to do 1 park per day - DL on Sunday and CA on Monday (which looks like the weather will be good!) Now I am contemplating a 3 day hopper, just in case we need to go Sat & Sun to catch everything at DL.

Things can still change - might not actually decide what to do until we get off the plane!

Thanks :)

Check the local forecasts.

Up here, 400 miles north, the two strongest storms are tonight and Sunday, up to 2.5 inches each day. We are expecting up to 8 inches over the next 4 days up here, pretty windy too.

dang, i thought yesterdays storm was the big one, haha. I missed it while inside for work.
My iPhone's lockscreen weather forecast is stuck on Anaheim and it looks like 4 wet days ahead down there

I have been watching the forecast on accuweather - they are showing possible drizzle/rain on Sunday. Will the parades/Fantasmic/Fireworks still go on if it's just a drizzle?

It is supposed to be a windy storm- fireworks are cancelled during high winds so you need to watch for that not just the rain...

I have personally watched Fantasmic! In the rain and have friends who have on other occasions as well. They may do a modified show for performer safely, but unless there is suspected lightning, yes, they could very well still do Fantasmic! In the rain. It just depends on how hard it's raining, if it's windy as well, and particularly, lightning.

The fireworks might. Parades and Fantasmic! won't. It is too dangerous for the actors to be on the slippery areas, in the dark, for Fantasmic!. The parade is also dangerous, and the floats don't do well either (they have been known to slide on damp ground.). There will be the "rainy day cavalcade" with the characters on the bus.

Interesting, we have been there on a NYE, with a light drizzle, no wind, and they cancelled all 3 shows even though it hadn't rained in 3 hours, and refunded everyone's money for the dessert seatings. The producer explained they won't do the show if the stage is wet as it is too dangerous.
