Fantasmic in May?

We were at DL in May 2009 from 7-21st. Fantasmic did not show during this time. I have had a look at the May schedule for 2010 and the first day that Fantasmic played was Fri 28th. Is this likely to be the case this year (ie;is the first showing likely to be Fri 27th?)

I'm not quite sure. I do know that we were in the park that Friday last year. People were staking out their spots at like noon. Insane.

RoA was drained at this time last year, so F! wasn't running (and how pissed was I to get to be in Club 33 and not have it going!!!). It is going on right now, just on the weekends, though, so it should be up while you are there.

but if you want a good view and not wait and not wait forever id go to the 2nd showing

In general F! shows year round including May. In recent years it has been down for refurb (in 2009 I think) and in 2010 when the major Rivers of America refurb happened. In 2011 there is no reason for it to be down in May and I would be really surprised if it was.

Is it correct that if the show you want to see is say on the 15th of May, then you have to book on the 15th April only? Or can you book from the 15th April onwards?

I remember this, as I went during those dates in 2009. They were installing the new Fantasmic dragon and ended up being slightly behind schedule. But last year we went at the end of May just after the Rivers of America were back up and watered after a massive refurb to put in new boat tracks, and we caught Fantasmic several nights. It had been running a few weeks before we were there. Chances are good it will be playing in May of this year.

I hope it is there. We haven't seen the show since 2007 even though we have been back yearly since ( no one in my group ever wants to see it). This time though I am inflicting my love of Disney on other family members and it will be there first visit, so that means I am putting my foot down and we are going!!

I am sure the Disneyland newbies will surely love to see it. Rant and rave and put it in their heads that its a spectcular they wont ever forget, and that you are DIEING TO SEE IT, and you cant wait to see their expressions. If they arnt interested YOU PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN! Tell them your gonna get Mickey to get the Fantasmic dragon to come along and chase their bums down to the Rivers of America.

You can book April 15 onwards, untill they run out of seats When we went for the first time in 08, I didn't call for seats untill about 2.5 weeks before, and was lucky enough to get seats. This year I will be calling on the day, because we are going in July.
