Fantasmic? Illuminations?

Great. Thanks. We may just skip it. Speaking of PSings how early do you think we should be at each PS to get a seat? We are going in October (slow time).

I think you can do the dining PS at anytime you want. Then you get to sit in a special section in Fantasmic. You don't make a PS for that really, just get the good seats and don't have to worry about getting there early.

We are going to Disney on Feb 3rd and 4th and want to see Wishes Fantasmic and Illuminations. Is it possible? Fantasmic is at 6 that friday. Since there are no Kids with us I was thinking we could make it to epcot just in time.

Thanks, Chris

Actually I kinda meant PS anywhere. Not just Fantasmic. How soon should we arrive anywhere we have PS?

You can however, make a dining PS at one of a few restaurtants there, to get a PS at Fantasmic afterwards, which I would recommend. If we ever do it again, we will do that. Maybe our seats alll the way to the one side, is why we didn't like it that much.

Just be warned that the reserved seating for the Fantasmic dinner package is all the way on the far right hand side of the theater. The last section seated for general admission is on the far left, which I would guess is where you were located the first time you saw the show.

For what it's worth, I happen to agree with your assessment about those seats. While I'm not a big Fantasmic fan, the show is much better when viewed more toward the middle of the stadium.

To answer the OP's question, I'd go with Illuminations hands-down.

Our family loves Illuminations, so it is a sentimental favorite. However, we've only seen Fantasmic a couple of times and really enjoyed it. I had not heard that DL's was so much better, but personally that would make me more curious to compare. If you'd never seen either, I would choose Illuminations. Either way you can't go wrong.

I think you will have plenty of time to do both on the same night. Fantasmic should be over by 7 that night, giving you two hours to make it over to Epcot.

IMHO if feel that they are really 2 different and both are great shows. i really dont consider fantasmic a fireworks type of show but illuminations is. fantasmic is more of a theatric show with fireworks being a part of the show. illuminations is centered around the fireworks.

if i had to do one show i would choose illuminations because even as i approach 50 yrs old, i really feel like a kid whenever i see any fireworks show.

really tough call here but the best thing is you really cant make a wrong choice here
