HI
I'VE MADE UP MY MIND!!! I AM MOST DEFINATELY GOING TO HAVE A DISNEY WEDDING BUT AM LOOKING THROUGH LOADS OF MATERIAL GIVEN TO ME BY STACEY MY SM. HAS ANYONE HERE HAD OR KNOWS THE PRICES (ROUGHLY) OF A FANTASMIC/ILLUMINATION DESSERT PARTY?? I WOULD REALLY LOVE ONE AND THOUGHT IF I HAVE LUNCH INSTEAD OF DINNER RECP. THAT WOULD SAVE ME SOME MONEY THAT I COULD PUT TOWARDS IT? WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK? WORTH DOING?
I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER PROB THAT MY FLOWER GIRL WILL BE 9 AND MY RING BEARER WILL BE 6 BUT I THINK THEY'LL BE ABLE TO STAY UP. I HOPE SO.
LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS

The food and beverage minimum for an IllumiNations Dessert Party is $17.50 per person + a $12.50 per person viewing fee. So, you're looking at spending at least $30 per person (and that's the most basic menu). Each venue also has a minimum number of guests you must guarantee - for example one of the smallest locations has a 20-person minimum. The largest locations can accommodate upwards of 300 people or more.

I don't have the exact costs for a Fantasmic Dessert Party, but I know they are very similar to the IllumiNations costs.

As far as show times are concerned, IllimiNations begins at 9:00 p.m. about 95% of the year (exept for holidays when it starts at 9:30 or 10 p.m.). Fantasmic show times are always changing depending on season. During the slower months, it starts at 7 p.m. And, during peak season they run two shows a night..usually 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. or something similar.

Ask you SM to provide you with all the specific details and minimum requirements for these events.

Hi Nemmie

This is what my info says about a Fantasmic Dessert Party:

The food and beverage minimum for use of the Small Patio, which accommodates a maximum of 50 guests, is $750 (exclusive of service charges and sales tax). The Large Patio accomodates a maximum of 100 guests, the same food and beverage minimum applies. An additional $12.50 per person will be charged for viewing Fantasmic from this location. Disney charter bus transportation and two park host/hostesses per 50 guests will be required to use this venue.

Hope this helps.:)

THANKS EVERYONE
I THINK IT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ME AS I ONLY HAVE AT PRESENT 15-17 GUEST SO WITH ME AND H2B WE WOULD'NT MAKE THE 20 MIN.
NEVERMIND I'LL STILL SEE WHAT MY SM CAN DO.
THANKS AGAIN
HEY 140905 HOW ARE YOUR PLANS GOING?

Nemmie, so glad you decided to go for a Disney Wedding:)

I feel like my planning is a bit all over the place at the moment because I keep changing my mind about everything:p These boards are great but they make everything look and sound fantastic so you think you've decided on what you want but then you see something better:crazy:

Definitely discuss the Fantasmic Dessert Party with your SM, especially if it's something you really want. I may not be able to meet the minimum for my dessert party either but all you do is pay the extra money for the people who aren't there to meet the minimum requirement.

140905- OH GREAT SO THEY STILL LET YOU DO IT THEN?! THAT'S COOL! I WILL HAVE A CHAT WITH STACEY ABOUT IT.
HOW ARE YOU COPING WITH LIVING IN THE UK AND BOOKING A DISNEY WEDDING? IT'S GREAT TO HAVE SOMEONE DOING WHAT I'LL BE DOING GIVES ME A GOOD IDEA OF WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN. ARE YOU GOING TO GO OVER TO FLORIDA AT ANY STAGE DURING YOUR PLANNING?

I wish, but our budget won't allow it :( I would love to go over for a planning session because it sounds so much fun and it did take a lot of convincing for me to except that I didn't actually need to go over to Florida to plan my Disney wedding - I honestly didn't think I would be able to do it and it does get frustrating at times but once I started receiving info, talking to FTW and reading about other Disney brides I've just kinda got on with it and at the moment managing fine.:)

As for the Dessert party, you should be able to do this, I told my SM that i may only have 15 guests and i wanted the UK Lower Terrace (20 minimum) and she said as long as i paid for the extra then it will be fine.

I'VE HEARD A LOT OF UK DISNEY BRIDES HAVE PLANNED THEIR WEDDINGS AND THEY WERE PERFECT SO THAT'S NICE TO KNOW. WE HAD BOOKED TO GO TO FLORIDA NEXT YEAR (MAY 2005) ANYWAY BEFORE MY H2B PROPOSED SO IT JUST ALL KINDA FITTED IN BUT I'M ONLY GOING FOR SITE INSPECTION NEXT MAY. THEY SAY TO TRY A PLAN A TRIP 4-6 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING I DON'T KNOW WHETHER WE'LL BE DOING THAT BUT I WOULD LOVE TO DO THE FOOD TASTING!!!
WHAT ARE YOUR VENUES? I COULD TAKE SOME PICS WHEN I GO AND PM THEM TO YOU I KNOW IT'S A LONG WAY OFF YET BUT I KNOW I ALWAYS LOVE TO SEE PICS OF DFTW!!!

Thanks Nemmie, my venues are:

Ceremony: Disney Wedding Pavilion
Reception: Ariels
Dessert Party: UK Lower Terrace

There's also Martha's Vineyard next to Ariels that we may be using for our cocktail hour, I haven't got any pics of this and that would be helpful ... Hopefully I'll be all sorted by then but if I haven't seen anymore pictures by May and you do get a chance I would be grateful to see any pics of these locations.

Have you decided on a wedding date yet or seen any pics of venues you're interested in? :chat:

he! he! love the smilies at the end of your post!!!!
i love this one too just never had right moment to use it
princess:
i'm sure you will have seen loads of pics by may but you can never get enough pics!!!

i think we are going to looking to get married either november 2006 or april 2007 i'm on a crash diet at the moment with a lot of weight to lose so i'm going to see where i'm at when i go in May. if it was up to my h2b we'd be planning for next year he says it doesn't matter what i look like on the outside because i'm a beautiful person but i want to look lovely so we're having a long engagement.

rough plans
Ceremony: Disney Wedding Pavilion (hopefully)
Reception: Absolutely no idea whatsover (hoping to decide when i go for my site inspection)
Fingers crossed for my dessert party!!!!:teeth:

have you signed your contract yet?princess:
