Fantasmic FP+ vs the Dinner Fantasmic thing

We're planning to go to the Brown Derby on our DHS night, so we would be elligible for the Dinner Fantasmic experience thing-- is it still offered?

If so, which would be the better bet to avoid getting to Fantasmic at the crack of dawn to get 11 seats together?

My gut is telling me that it's a waste of a FP+, but I'm open to other ideas.

1- Yes.
It's the way to go if you don't want to arrive at F! 60-75 minutes before show-time.

2- Worthless. There's no difference between having a FP+ for F! and not having one.

We did the BD package last week.

F! was at 7, we entered the line around 6:40 and got great seats, maybe 8 or 10 rows back.

We did the dinner over NYE week. It was very nice knowing that the dinner section is roped off and seats are waiting! We got there around 20 mins before the show and got really great seats.

Three weeks ago (1/10) we had FP+ for the first F! (7pm). We walked out of Tower of Terror around 6:35 pm. The regular line was WELL beyond the exit for Beauty & The Beast; probably another 30 yards past.

The FP+ line had 8 people in it...yes, 8.

Nobody can tell me that is a useless FP+.

If we were able to attend the 2nd show that night, that would have been a better option over using a FP+, but it was by no means useless.

And found this thread when I was looking for opinions on whether to use FP or to book the F! dinner package. We really wanted to do a lunch had HBD. It looks like I can do the package with a lunch ADR. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes.
F! Dining packages for The Hollywood Brown Derby and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano are available for lunch or dinner.
