Fantasmic first night?

I was thinking this would be a great way to get the Family in the Disney mood. Plus, the fact that we don't have the DDP that night (the 11th, have to wait for it), i thought it would be smart to get the dinner package. Good Idea?

The date will matter for crowds.

The 11th of WHAT MONTH?

If its September, you won't need the dinner package if you just show up by 35-45 minutes before show-time.

If its JUNE, JULY,or AUGUST you might want the package.

That's what I'm thinking of doing. We arrive on Aug. 12. DS wants to go straight to MGM to do Star Tours and then Fantasmic.

We're doing Fantasmic our first night, too! We went ahead and booked the dinner package- we're on the dining plan- so this way we know dinner AND seating are both taken care of. Very cool!

Our first ever WDW trip is June 9th for 8 days. Does anyone have a # to make reservations for the dinning plan at fantasmic? We have made no dinner reservations, is it too late?

Its getting awfully LATE, but call them tomorrow for SURE and see what's avaliable. Even if you can't get the Fantasmic! package, you should try for ressies for other meals during your trip on other days... some of our best times are at character meals (The Land Grill in Epcot is a good one.)

for our first trip feb 2005 we arrived at 11:30 am and did the Fantasmic dinner package that night. It was Great. We played at Disney Studios before we ate and walked right into fantasmic.
