Hi!

I am going to DL this weekend and of course must see Fantasmic and the Fireworks (providing they are not rained out :) ) I know Fantasmic is at 9 & 10:30 and the Fireworks are at 9:30.

Is it best to do Fantasmic first? Or get a good spot for the Fireworks and then do the late show of Fantasmic?

Any input would be great!

Thanks!

Always choose the event that requires more specific seating first. So in this case, Fantasmic!. There are many good places from which to watch the fireworks.

We have a similar dilemma with World of Color and Fireworks. So we will do World of Color first. Although the decision there is easier since World of Color is so unique, even amongst Disney Parks, that it's the must see night time event if you have to choose one on a vacation.

In MHO, I like to watch the Fireworks first, then go to Fantasmic. When you watch Fantasmic first, they prefer that you stay near the Rivers of America to watch the Fireworks; not much time to move and find a good spot for them anyways. You can still see the Fireworks from RoA, but you don’t get to whole effect and don’t get to see the Castle. If you watch the Fireworks first, you still have time to walk to RoA and find a spot for Fantasmic. :)

Hope this helps,

I agree with Kriss, in my experience people at DL tend to stake out spots for the first Fantasmic hours in advance, so you either waste precious park hours saving your spot or come later and risk a bad view. Stand right near the Frontierland entrance for the fireworks, then hoof it over to the RoA right as they end. CMs will probably hold everyone in place until the lights come up and then you can scoot into the recently vacated good spots with little trouble! I did this twice my last trip, worked like a charm, front row center seats both times :-D

We also watch fireworks first at the end of Main Street near the Attraction Times board. There will be a lot of people heading towards ROA so just follow the crowd. CMs set up one way traffic routes - those heading to ROA will be directed to the Frontierland bridge, those leaving the area are funneled through Adventureland. If you arrive early they hold the entering crowd until the ROA area is cleared.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I think we will opt for the fireworks first and hope for the best for a good spot for Fantasmic. I will be there on Sunday night - so hopefully not as busy as a Friday or Saturday.

Thanks!!
