cold metal benches that could give some hemoroids( actually am pretty sure that is spelled wrong and that is not true even though my mother told me it is)
Maybe you're thinking of DL? Fantasmic there is, yes, seatless, which is why I've only seen it once there (there's this awesome dessert buffet in the Disney Gallery above Pirates which is hard to get in to, but is really worth it).
As much as I love Fantasmic, I just cannot get there 2 hours early (sometimes in DL that's how long you have to wait to get a spot!), and stand that whole time.
At MGM, Wheelchair seating is, I believe, in the middle sections, in the very last rows. A few years ago my sister herniated a disc in her back right before we left and couldn't walk, so we sat in the w/c section. They are very nice seats, and everyone can sit together, right in the center.

Wheelchair seating is across the entire back row. The back row of the section that is reserved for people doing the Fantasmic dinner package are also wheelchair seating.
There are some wheelchair spaces where 2 or 3 wheelchair users can park together and some with one or 2 seats next to the wheelchair space for other members of the party to sit. The row right in front of that are for the rest of the party to sit in front of the wheelchair user.
There are also a very limited number of wheelchair spots in the front row.
There is also standing room if the seating is all taken up, so it is possible to be standing during the show but there are quite a bit of seats. 6,900 seated & 3,000 standing is the stadium capacity.
yes, just did both this past christmas vacation. looove fantasmic and the lights are beautiful! love your autism banner, i've been teaching autistic children since '94. very special kids! have a wonderful trip!
We did Fantasmic and then saw the Osborne Lights. They let everyone who wanted to leave Fantasmic when it was over and go over to the lights. It was somewhat crowded at the lights but you look up to see most of them so no one is really in your way.
They are wonderful. A family named in Arkasas named Osborne had a tremendous Christmas light display at their house. Eventually, it grew to a point where the local residents were complaining about the impact of all the visitors to the area who came to see the lights. In 1995, the display moved to WDW (Disney MGM Studio) and has been there every holiday season since then.
It is wonderful and it's hard to imagine without actually seeing it.
