DH and I have seen the DL Fanstasmic! a half dozen times... wondering what are the differences from the WDW Fantasmic! and if we should try to catch it. Our group was too big to get PS's for the dinner package and now the trip is only 3 wks away -- so we'd have to wait in line, at night with little kids. (under 5). -- If we decide to do it, I don't care how close we are, just as long as we can see relatively well, how long in advance should we get in line?
Thanks.

Personally, (and I may get flamed for this) don't waste your time. The Fantasmic! show in DL is much better than the one at WDW. The only disadvantage at is seating. WDW has built a nice stadium just for the show, which is a much better arrangement than here at DL. The show is basically the same.

We always got a good spot in DL, my favorite being a bit further away on the bridge there.... b/c you were up a bit more... While we'd wait we would got a kick out of seeing how much time would pass between the time someone walking below us to drop some litter and it always seemd like 30 seconds or less before a CM would come by with their 'quicker-picker upper' thingy and sweep it away... lol :earsgirl:

still undecided though b/c the kids have never seen it... wondering what the big draw is for kids -- have a couple scaredy's in our group that might not like the dragon/fire part and might not grasp the concept of Mickey conquering the villains... any thoughts?

I like both Fant. shows and they are good for different reasons. The FL set seems bigger, I like the seating in FL. The CA show has the Peter Pan and a better boat. If you love the show, you might like seeing it again.

I've seen both and the DL show is much better. The portion of DL's Fantasmic where the pink elephants and Pinocchio is an animated section with the characters faces in bubbles and that seemed like a lot of filler to me. Also, the Pochahantas section in WDW's version doesn't compare to DL's Peter Pan section. If you decide to see it at WDW, don't sit towards the front--unlike DL, you get heavily misted. At DL I always sit in the front and I've never gotten that wet.

the Peter Pan segment in DL ruled, I loooooved Captain Hook's boat. The POcahontas segment in WDW wasnt all that great. I never really saw what happens to John Smith and Pocahontas... reeeeeealy confusing, but other than that it was ok. Personally, Fantasmic is a highlight to every disney trip, no matter where. I go to it everytime they have it just because it is a really great show!
