Fantasmic Dinning Packages

Can we use our DDP for the Fantasmic Dinning? If so is it 2pts? Which restaurants are included? Where is the seating for Fantasmic?

Yes, you can use the DDP for a fantasmic pkg, it's only one TS point. They do require a credit card number to hold your ADR and if you are a no show they will charge your card $10.00 per person on the ADR.

I just recently made a Fantasmic ADR on the DDP and this is what they told me.

Does it include all TS restaurants @ MGM? Which did you make reservations at. It never fails. I alway do poor planning to see Fantasmic and we have to stand.

I just made my Fantasmic package ADR on the DDP this morning for April 9 at Brown Derby. They also told me it was 1 TS. I specifically asked if it was the same menu as regular and she said yes. Why would it be 1 TS for Fantasmic and 2 TS otherwise. This seems kind of backwards. There must be a good reason.

You can use your DDP for the Fantasmic Package. Only 3 places at MGM are eligible - Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose, and The Brown Derby. H and V and MM are 1 TS. However, I think Parrothead Minnie needs to call them back, cause Brown Derby is a 2-TS restaurant, either on it's own or with the package (unless things have changed in the past week, or they have changed it to a 1 TS under the 2007 plan). Also, Brown Derby to my knowledge DOES have a separate menu for the Fantasmic Package......might want to call back Minnie, I think you got a bum CM on that one.

Why is the seating for Fantasmic?

Did you mean where is the seating?? On the far right side, I believe. We have never actually used it - always got there early enough, even with the package, to get a better seat somewhere else. Keep in mind that you still have to arrive at the reserved seating gate AT LEAST 30 minutes before showtime. After that, reserved seats are no longer guaranteed.

oh yes...I did mean where. Well I think that we may just skip TS at DS and opt out for Fantasmic. I asked my son if he would like to see Fantasmic again and he said no but that could always change week to week with a 7 year old.

We just used the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose's last week and really enjoyed being able to get seating without waiting an hour plus. You use a separate entrance that is located next to Oscar's Gas Station just inside the park gates. I also thought Brown Derby was 2 TS credits. Definitely better double-check that one.

We've used the Hollywood & Vine Fanstasmic dinner package twice, both on and off the DDP. It's wonderful, you've got to use it! Specially since it's free!
The Fantasmic part that is.

We love the buffet at the H&V and it's the least expensive of the three restaurants. We get our fill of pasta in Italy at Epcot so Mama Melrose's is out. I've read that the Brown Derby isn't great for kids and it's 2 TS's instead of H&V at just 1.

I love the buffet, the salmon and beef and pizza and hot dogs and mac n cheese and the build your own sundaes! The all you can eat peel 'em yerself shrimp! Yummmm!

Then you are given a little ticket after your meal to bring over by Oscar's at the MGM entrance and a CM lets your party in to Fantasmic through a back entrance. You will sit to the right of the of theatre, but there's not a bad spot in the house.

Sure beats waiting 2 hours!
