Fantasmic dinner which one?

DH, DD(4yo) and I want to do the fantasmic dining package next trip. We;re on the DDP and only want to spend 1 table service. Which should we choose, Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine? WHy? Thanks!

Hollywood & Vine was VERY yucky. It is buffet, and you could tell the food had been sitting there for hours. I hope to never eat there again. But the Fantasmic showing was awesome!

We were not impressed with the meal we had a Hollywood and Vine but we loved our meal at Mama Melrose. Mama Melrose we dined at with our Fantasmic package. We would not rush back to H&V unless I started hearing some great reviews.

I've never been to Mama Melrose, but our Hollywood & Vine experiences were awful. I voted for MM.

You didn't ask, but we really enjoyed Brown Derby when doing the Fantasmic package. A little more expensive, but delicious.

We enjoyed H&V in '07 and '08 and that is saying a lot for us. My husband and I both worked in the restaurant business many years ago, so we tend to pay attention to things most people may not. Maybe we just got lucky with when we chose to go.....not sure, but I did want to 'weigh in' anyway.

We did the package at Hollywood and Vine back in 2004 and again in 2007. We thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to return if we decide to do the package again in December.

Mama Melrose by far the best choice with the Fantasmic Package even better than the Brown Derby and especially better than H&V

I didn't vote because I have never been, but I was wondering what you get for the Fantasmic dinner package. Do you get priority seating for Fantasmic? That's my favorite show at Disneyland for sure, and I know it's a bit different at WDW. Can't wait to see it!

have been to both your choices with the Fantasmic Dinner package. A lot of people have had bad experiences with Hollywood & Vine but ours was fine (May 2008, so just about a year ago.) It was loud, but seems like all Disney buffets are very loud - they are popular and family-friendly so I think the noise is to be expected. We enjoyed the food, hot food was hot, cold food was cold...everything was fresh & replenished often. Desserts were good, service was good & every mess was cleaned up promptly. So we would go back.

But, we did Mama Melrose in September, and really, really liked that place. Delicious food, wonderful desserts, excellent service. Much quieter & more relaxed than H&V ... still plenty of families, but since it's not a buffet there was not near the hubbub. So we're going back in about 3 weeks

I know most people like Mama Melrose more, but we usually go with H&V because that's the one that we like more! The buffet has lots of delicious choices, and it has the New Zealand mussels that I especially like, and there's a berry cobbler for desert that's fantastic!
