What are FDP? Are they worth it? Someone please explain it to me. Thank you.

Just Booked. You Have A Choice Of Three Resturants At Mgm. By Booking At Resturaunt With An Adr You Get Vip Seating For The Show And You Don't Have To Wait In Line.
THIS SITE HAS GOOD INFO, ANOTHER DISER GAVE IT TO ME YESTERDAY. THANKS

The VIP seating is off to the right of the stage, and IMO isn't the best of seats. They say that all seats are good, but I don't agree that these qualify as "VIP"status.
Also, each time I've tried to book this, I've gotten lousy dining times...mostly 4pm and earlier.
But, there's a lot to be said for walking in and sitting down less than 1/2 hour before showtime, whereas you would have to try for a seat 1 to 2 hours preshow in standby.

I wouldn't do it any other way, especially during peak season. I have heard too many stories about people having to stand in the back of Fantasmic. Also, the amount of food you get for your money is amazing at the two restaurants that are not buffet. We did Hollywood Brown Derby in December, and it was excellent.

Peak season - holidays and summer do the Fantasmic pkg.

Then you will have a place to eat and a place to sit - you still have to arrive at the "back door" by an hour before. So if Fantasmic is at 8:30 PM, go to the gas pump by the Studio's entrance at 7:30 PM and start walking the concrete path to the Witches section in Fantasmic.

If there are 2 show - 8:30 & 10:30, the Fantasmc dinner tickets are only good for the 1st show at 8:30 PM.

We're doing the Mama Melrose Fantasmic package in March. Our ressie is at 4:30 which is kind of early, but I think it will be nice not to have to wait in line for a change.

You will enjoy it.

Definitely worth it. We always book Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic package. The section blocked off for the people who booked the package is very close to the exit.

We have always done the Fantasimic Package. The children like H&V, I'd like to try Brown Derby but we are going to Mama Melrose because the entree choices have improved. We usually arrive 30minutes before the show and have always had a great view. I have no complaints, only rave reviews. I have seen that line into the theater and I know that DH would never wait on that line. Times for dinner are hit or miss, but we usually do get a time after 5:30PM.
The only time that we didn't do a Fantasmic Package was during an extra magic hours show where you really didn't need it.
Our vacation times are always holidays or the summer.
It really is worth it.

So I have a ADR in March for MM and it is for 3:30 and am trying to get a later, and Fantasmic is showing at 7 and at 8:30. So the ticket is only good for the first one and not the second???? I didn't know this and was going to go to the second one thinking it would be less busy. I am read this board many times and never knew this????
